It's been three years since Naruto left its been two since I did I'm a full time ANBU Shika and I are still great friends, but it's definitely forced happiness. I still love him, but after two years I don't know if he still loves me. I've also changed I'm not the same girl I used to be I show my full face for one, now I know what you're thinking it all happened like this.
Flashback:
"Pein of the Akatsuki my answer is no, I will never join the Akatsuki so you can kill me now." I said staring him down he looked at me with his rinnegan before turning away .
"I won't kill you, you will become useful later lets go" he ordered everyone left first Kisame, then Hidan, very reluctantly I may add, and Itachi last.
"You should watch out Haruko he will come back" Itachi warned fading away into a flock of crows. 'Did I just say no to the Akatsuki and survive' I dead panned
End of Flashback
Now here I was going out for groceries I still live with Papa, but I might move out soon. I'm getting older, but I've barely had time to hang out with him it feels wrong moving out too soon. I was passing by the ramen shop when I saw Teuchi walking out of the shop holding some ramen.
"Hey Haruko!" He greeted I was going to say Hi back when Tora ran past me with Konohamaru hot on his tail. Unfortunately Konohamaru ran into me causing us to fall over bumping into Teuchi.
"Sorry!" Konohamaru said getting up holding out his hand
"Whoa!" Teuchi said as Konohamaru pushed passed him
"Outta the way! Sorry, pops!" He yelled running off I ran after him because I haven't seen Tora in a long time. 'I'm also very bored,' I admitted to myself rolling my eyes.
"Konohamaru! Konohamaru! We've cornered the target." Moegi and Udon cheered I hid in the tree as Tora inched closer and closer. While they looked away I quickly grabbed him petting his head.
"Have they been scaring you~" I cooed Tora purred in agreement and I watched in amusement as Konohamaru freaked out.
"Why you--! - Give it up already! - Come out!" He said kicking some random tree then I decided he had enough.
"Konohamaru! I got him!" I yelled from above cradling Tora whilst jumping down
"You're a life saver Big sister Koko," Moegi hugged me Konohamaru fought Tora and it reminded me of Naruto a lot.
"Ebisu Sensei, we captured the lost pet target Tora, Heh-heh Mission complete!" Konohamaru said wrangling Tora. Tora looked at me giving a sad mew
"I'm sorry Tora, but you have to go back" I pouted walking to the Hokage's with them catching up with Konohamaru .
"Oh, my adorable Tora! I was worried to death about you. Where were you?" The same old lady said crushing him just like I told her not to. I glared daggers almost pouncing at her, but Ebisu held me back. "What's wrong with her" the lady muttered taking out her wallet "All right, here is the reward. Now then, let's go home, Tora." She said planting a big fat kiss on Tora's head 'I'll save you one day Tora' I pouted glaring at Ebisu. I sat by idly watching as Iruka yelled at them for taking too long 'Iruka needs to take a chill pill' I thought staring into his eyes boredly.
"I can't display my true strength on a lame mission like this! Say, Iruka Sensei. Don't you have more of an awesome mission for me?" Konohamaru said I looked at him in amusement 'Naruto left that big of an impression'
"Listen Konohamaru-" Iruka sighed probably thinking the same thing as me.
"Konohamaru, you guys just became Genin. There's no way I can give missions like that to you right off the bat, right?!" He mocked and I was starting to get annoyed 'too much Naruto'
"It'll be D-rank missions until further notice." Iruka said with finality
"I can't be satisfied with that!" Konohamaru whined he would've kept going, but I bonked him on the head.
"Oi Ebisu, I hope you're teaching my Otōto manners." I stressed to Konohamaru pinching his cheeks in a playful way.He was trying to shake me off, but I had an iron grip on him.
"I'm not a kid anymore," Konohamaru declared finally getting out of my grip "After all, in the future I'm going to become the Seventh Hokage." He announced I smiled proudly my thoughts drifting to Naruto 'I miss that knucklehead'
"Seventh?" Tsunade questioned and then I realized he did say seventh
"Not the Sixth Konohamaru?" I asked bending down to his level because he hates it when I do that it makes him feel small.
"Brother Naruto's going to be the Sixth," He smiled widely.
"Wow I guess my little Konohamaru is growing up he's not a snotty brat anymore," I giggled mocking him.
"Brother Naruto, huh?" Iruka muttered to himself
"I wonder where he is right now I bet he'll return having become an awesome Shinobi. I have faith in him!" Konohamaru said with stars in his eyes
"You three go pick up the morning pedestrian traffic ledger and Haruko go with him" Lady Tsunade ordered I slumped grabbing his hand teleporting out of the office.
"Let's get this over with," I said putting my arms behind my head we were walking to the main gate when Konohamaru stopped.
"Hey, Could that be?" He muttered to himself "Yeah No doubt about it," He said looking over to 'oh it's Sakura' "Miss Sakura!" He yelled running over to her.
"Oh, Konohamaru, Haruko! Where are you off to?"
"Hey Kura-nii we're going to the main village gate." I answered pouting 'why'd lady Tsunade make me go'
"We have to pick up the morning pedestrian traffic ledger for Lady Tsunade. You want to come?" Konohamaru asked we kept walking the two catching up after almost two years of not talking.
"We had missions like that, too. It kind of takes me back." Sakura smiled at me I smiled back thinking of all the stupid D-ranks we would do.
"Hello, Izumo, Kotetsu." Sakura greeted I was snapped out from my thoughts greeting the pair lazily.
"What's up" I said putting up my hand as a hello they looked at me shaking their heads before remembering something.
"Oh, look who's here Why don't you head on into town? You'll see something interesting." Izumo smirked I gasped tears started falling
"Something interesting? Don't tell me!" Sakura gasped looking towards the village.
"He's back!" I smiled with tears we ran off to find him 'He's finally home'
