Saiki's Intro to Fan-Fiction

Saiki's Briefing

       My name is Kusuo Saiki. Many people call me many different things. For example, an esper, a PSI user, or a psychic. I could care less which one you choose to describe me as. After all, you are entitled to your own thoughts. Likewise, this story is for you... Actually, may I correct myself. This fan-fiction is for you. The only story involving me is my life. This is not a part of it.

       Pretty much everyone in your world knows that I don't like drawing attention to myself. Sadly, as much as that works out in my world, I unfortunately seem to be quite popular in yours. It's all because of the writers. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate them. Without them, I wouldn't exist, and I kind of like to do that. I am eternally indebted to them because of this, and hence, I became their slave.

       I am cursed to provide entertainment for your world; I was created to do that. Some of the main providers for that entertainment are the manga and the anime. -Please do not bring up the live action. It's a bunch of phonies trying to do and say as we do. The only problem is, they do it wrong. So, just don't bring it up.- Another branch for that entertainment is the branch you are currently reaching out to: fan-fiction.

       Now, I'm going to assume (with a hopeful heart) that you know fan-fiction pretty much defines itself. Fiction provided by fans. Fiction meaning fake. Fake meaning non-canon. Now, I don't think you're stupid, but you never know how many Nendous there are in the world, so I feel like I had to explain that to move on.

       Every fan-fiction creates a new world, a non-canon world. With each new world comes a new Kusuo Saiki, and other such characters. So all of the fan-fiction you've ever read contained some truth, but eventually strayed even a little. If it didn't, the authors would have a copyrights scandal on their hands.

       Now, I am Kusuo Saiki. I am writing this to fill the bottomless pit of debt I owe to the writers of my story. And also because much of the other fan-fictions drove me crazy with how out of character I was. So... I decided to put my foot down, especially with the Me x Whomever fictions.

       I will make this as in character as possible, including only things that I would do. Except for one part: falling in love. I don't do that in my world, but as I stated earlier, this is an entirely different place. Also, because I couldn't bare to write about anyone I actually know, I'll make you the main character. Yes, you read correctly. This is a Kusuo x Reader fiction. I hope you're happy now, writers.

       Please try to forget that I am the author. After all, if you dwell on that, things will get weird inside of your head. Just focus on the story, and hopefully things will work out. If it helps, the Kusuo Saiki in this story has no clue he's in a fan-fiction. I've never tried writing before, so this is new to me. Don't be angry if it's not up to your standards because I tried.
