Alice POV
I woke up one morning to my mother.....my horrible mother. Ever since dad left us she has been blaming everything on me...and abused me for it.
"ALICE GET YOUR STUPID BUTT OUT OF BED RIGHT NOW AND GET YOURSELF TO SCHOOL RIGHT NOW OR ILL COME UP THERE MYSELF!!!!" she yell at me from the hallway.
I got dressed in a hoodie and black pants because you dont want people seeing the cuts and bruises that your mom left you. You walked out of my room to walk to school. I saw my backpack by the front door and went to grab it when all of a sudden..."where do you think you going" all you thought in your head was "crap crap crap ok calm down just say your going to school". "G-going to school" you say scared. "FINE AND GO TO A FRIENDS HOUSE I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU" she yells at your face.
"Ok mom bye" you are about to walk out the door when- "AHHH" your mom just pushed you out the door laughing. You brush it off because she could've done worse...and you know she wanted to. You get up and head to school.
John POV
You wake up to someone knocking on you door. You sit up and say still half asleep "come in". Your mom walks in "time to get up and ready for school sweetie oh and sorry but you will have to walk today i have a doctors appointment today" she says while coming into your room. "Ok thanks mom" you say while rubbing your eyes.
You get dressed in a t-shirt and jeans and start walking to school.
(at school you accidentally bump into your crush Alice)
"Oh my god Alice I'm sorry are you ok?" you say while helping her up. "Im fine" she says with tears in her eyes. "Oh Alice if i hurt you so bad that you are crying i can take you to the nurse?" you say sad. "No its not that" (btw you and alice are friends but you dont know that her mom abuses her) "then what is it" you lift up her head and look into her eyes.
Alice POV
"Should i tell him what if he gets mad what if he doesnt want to be friends with me anymore" you say in your head. "Okay john if i tell you the truth just promise me you wont do anything?" you tell him wiping tears off of your face. "I promise" he said while taking your hand. "O-okay my mom a-buses me" you say while rolling up your sleeve to show him you injuries.
John POV
"Oh god alice you need to stay away from her...you can stay at my house for as long as you want" you say while hugging her. "Thank you john i would love that" she says while a smile on her face witch quickly turns into a frown. "What" you say "i have to go back home to get my things and my mom is going to be there" she says while tears are forming in her eyes.
"Alice its ok just avoid her when you walk in and get out of there as fast as you can" you say while hugging her again. "Okay thank you again John" she says happily.
Alice POV
You walk into your house quietly hoping your mom would hear you. You turn around to close the door and then you hear your mom say " I THOUGHT YOU WERE GOING TO A FRIENDS HOUSE YOU STUPID KID" you turn around quickly "yea i just came back to grab my stuff" you say scared. "OH SO YOU LIED TO ME?" she said getting closer to you. "No i- AHH" she just punched you in the stomach and you fell to the floor then she started to beat you up untill you had a black eye, bloody nose, and bruises all over your arms, legs and stomach. She walked away and you ran to your room crying.
"I HATE MY LIFE I HATE MY MOM I HATE ME I HATE EVERYTHING" you say screaming in your head. You look over at you desk and you see your laptop is open and there is a picture on the screen. You walk over there and see a picture of a girl standing on a bridge in the picture she looks happy but you think of something different.....
