Jesse was jolted awake by the sound of his mother's irritated voice.

"Jesse! Get up! You are not skipping any more days of school!"

"Alright alright," He groaned to himself, the bright morning sun blinding his eyes, peering through his window.

Rolling out of bed, Jesse sleepily tugged off his shirt, scanning his messy room for a lighter and some clothes to wear. He knew he wouldn't be able to get through the morning without smoking a bowl or two of weed. He drowsily rubbed his eyes, and looked out his window to see his friend, Badger, pulling up to his house. Jesse threw on a shirt and pants, pulling on a beanie to cover his bedhead.

He grabbed his backpack, glancing inside to make sure his weed was there and ran down the stairs and out the door without saying goodbye to his parents, not wanting to incite a fight about him coming home after 2 am the night before.

"Yo Badger you got a bowl?" Jesse questioned as he opened the car door and got in.

Badger goofily tossed the object to Jesse, wiggling his eyebrows and seeming to forget the pipe was made of glass.

"Jesus!" Jesse muttered as he snatched the shiny object out of the air and started packing a bowl.

"Hey man, you down to ditch today?" Badger questioned "Skinny's got some crystal." he purred.

Jesse's brain immediately perked up at the idea of crystal, his ice blue eyes shining with desire. He had been using on and off for about a month now and could really use a bump.
