Hey so if your reading this that means I edited this chapter because their were so many things wrong with it. Anyways continue reading!
(Amy's POV)
"William-" I say soothingly, he raises his head. "I need you tell me where you were and what you were doing at 11:29 pm, alright?" I'm expecting resistance, that's what you usually get with these people.
"Okay, anything to avenge Edward." I see anger and sorrow in eyes. Poor guy. They must've been close. Also, that was incredibly easy! "So me and my buddies were out for a get together. We got real drunk and I...I threw up over everything..." William is beet red.
"Where was this?"
"The place is called Ol'Johnnies." He looks down in shame. Not wanting to make eye contact with me. "Alright I'll check your alibi. But in the mean time did you know if Edward had plans that night?"
"Well he would've usually been cleaning until 12:00am." This brings tears to Williams eyes. Just thinking about his deceased friend hurt him. He's about to continue when suddenly I get a call. I take out my phone and check the caller ID. Teddy?! He knows I'm working, why would he call? "Hold on I have to take this." I quickly leave the interrogation room and go towards Jake. "Listen, can you go in there for now? Thanks!" I leave quite briskly, not waiting for an answer, and go to the evidence locker. "Hey Teddy, why are you calling?"
"Well, I was looking for where to eat tom-" I cut him off, he knows I'm working and this is what he calls for! "Teddy this isn't the time! You know I'm working, so I'm going to hang up no-" Now he cuts me off. "No wait! I called because I'll have to cancel, but I can make tomorrow."
"What! Then why did you text me this morning saying you could?" That was the only thing I was looking forward to today. "The department suddenly sprung on me with an all nighter case, sorry. But can it be same place and time tomorrow?" He says this expectantly. I understand, some cases are just to good to pass up. "Alright, now I really have to go, bye!"
(Jake's POV)
I watch intently as Amy quite easily gets answers. Before we went to the interrogation room, we checked what evidence we had. The footage proved nothing from the cameras at Edwards. They were all blacked out around the time of the murder. There was literally no fingerprints anywhere, the murder was a quick shot through the head. There was nothing. So we really needed something from this guy. Then Amy's phone rings, as she pulls out her phone I see the caller is Teddy. An overwhelming feeling of jealousy passes over me. God! Can't I just be happy for her?! "Hold on I have to take this." Ughhh she said HAVE to take this. Meaning she's willing to take a call in the middle of an interrogation just for him. Which she never does for anyone else! I watch her walk out the room and towards me. "Listen, can you go in there for now? Thanks!" And she briskly walks away, phone in hand. I sigh, hopefully I could do as good as Amy.
I enter the room and lean against the wall. "Do you know anyone who might've wanted to kill him?" He flinches as I say this, probably not expecting such a blunt question. "Well, he only started cleaning till 12:00 am because him and his wife were always arguing about her having an affair. But she kept denying it. He had proof though!" Here's the good stuff.
"Did he have a name for who his wife might've been having an affair with? And what exactly was his evidence?" I take out my pen and pad.
"Yes, Teddy (insert his last name), and in all honesty the only proof he had was she wasn't in the room her phone went off and...well it was a text about meeting up with 'Teddy'. He also sent her PLENTY of dick pics." The last statement makes me cringe. Wait a minute did he say, Teddy?
My heart stops. Oh no, this is bad, very bad. I need to tell Amy. "Thank you for your time sir.""Again, anything to avenge my friend." I open the door for him and watch him leave. As I'm about to close the door Amy comes back. "Hey Peralta! Sorry, Teddy called. So what did we get?" She looks at me hopefully. This is going to be harder than I thought. "So, Edward started cleaning late because him and his wife constantly were having fights about her having an affair."
"Do we have a name on who this guy might be?" She looks even more hopeful. Ah god! She just made this harder. "Um, yeah, it's...a, i-its..." She looks at me like spit it out already, and crosses her arms. "Teddy (insert last name)..." I mumble.
"Who now?" She looks at me worried.
"It's... Teddy (insert last name)." I close my eyes as I say this not wanting to see her face. Then I make the mistake of opening them. She has pure heartbreak written all over her. It absolutely breaks me, yet I still have to compose myself. "I-I have to go now," she just barely chokes out. She runs out of the room with glossy eyes. I reach out for her but she already slams the interrogation door. If she only knew I was there for her...
Sorry for another shorter chapter! I just have no idea how to write or find inspiration so...
ANYWAYS hope you're enjoying the story so far! I promise the next chapter WILL be better! ;p
