-5 year old Aya, at the air temple-
"Aang! Please don't leave." She cried as Aang wrote the letter saying of his departure. "At least let me come with you!" She says grabbing his hand. "No Aya, it's to dangerous." Aang pulled his arm away. Aya watch her only brother fly away. Crying and running to her own room.
-a few months after-
"Fire?" Aya now ran to her window. What was the fire nation doing here...they're burning everything. She runs down and meets the head master. "Aya you need to hide. The Guru told me you needed to be preserved for your brother's return." Aya a little five year old...had to be preserved.
-a week later-
Aya was moved to the city of Bai Sing Say. There she had meet with a family that she'd hide as for five years before 'getting preserved.
