It was a Saturday evening and Mackenzie was sat, chilling in her room reading some scary Hooked stories with Noah. Both of them loved horror but this story put a terrifying atmosphere around them...
Mackenzie-"That was honestly so terrifying 😂"
Noah-"I know 😂, and I can't believe you killed me!"
Mackenzie-"Lol, it's just fake though, you're not dead 😂"
Noah-"I know! But still!!"
They both sat laughing about the story, when suddenly, Mackenzie's phone buzzed.
Mackenzie-"Hey! I just got a message off some creep on messenger."
Noah-"Spill the beans, spread the beef! Tell me what it says."
Mackenzie-"It says that there's this old, abandoned house just outside of our town and he wants us to go check it out with him."
Noah-"Well I'm not going, we don't even know who he is... Ask him!"
Mackenzie-"Oh! It's Carter, he's invited a bunch of people from school to come check it out and see if it really is haunted! Now can we go?"
Noah-"Fine. But if we die, I'm blaming you."
*30 minutes later*
Everyone arrives at the supposed haunted house and begin to chat about what they could find. As they head indoors, Carter finds a note hidden in a crack of the wall and brings it to everyone else in the living room.
Carter-"Hey guys, there was this note outside."
Hannah-"Yeah, sure, stop messing around Carter, this isn't Escape The Night haha"
Carter-"I'm being serious, Hannah, I think we should read it!"
Jason-"Oh good lord, give it here! I'll read it."
*The room goes silent as Jason begins to read*
Jason-"It says, You shouldn't have come here, but you can't go back now. You all now know your aim... On the table in front of you, you will see a board game..."
Meghan-"Cluedo? We're here to play Cluedo. Really? Carry on, Jason."
Jason-"... The classic board game, Cluedo, is about finding out who the killer is. That is what you are here to do... As soon as you entered this house, one of you was chosen to be the killer. They now know this, but it is your job to find out who it is and take them out... Meanwhile, the killer has to take out every other guest to have a chance of surviving. They must kill their target when they are alone with them and CANNOT do so if anybody else is near..."
Luna-"Alright, cut it out Jason, what does it really say?"
Carter-"No... That's what it says..."
Jason-"...There will be small challenges that you will have to do to earn clues to find out who the killer is... But be careful... There could be a deadly end... Signed, X"
Glancing around the room the guests noticed a note slipped under the door. Picking it up, they realised the only thing on it were a single question mark, "?". They realised that they must need to match it up with a similar question mark somewhere in the room, and after a lot of searching, Kennedy came across the exact same symbol... On the board game.
Kennedy-"Guys I think I found it. The same symbol on the note is on the underside of the board game!"
Meghan-"So we were brought here to play Cluedo! Great..."
Dylan-"Oh come on Meg-"
Meghan-"Don't call me that."
Dylan-"Fine, but at least play the game. If this 'X' is being serious, we may actually be in danger and we should just play the game."
They begin to play the game, with Victoria starting off. They each took turns to guess at the killer, weapon and room in which someone was killed. They received some information telling them that whenever somebody guessed all three options correctly, they would have to choose a parchment of paper from a bowl, each parchment containing a singular number. The loser, however, would have to choose the remaining two numbers from the bowl.
After everyone had correctly guessed the answer, it was revealed that two of the numbers had been chosen and the guests with those numbers would compete in a game for their lives.
The two numbers chosen for the challenge are...
Cameron-"Number 7 and number 11"
Noah-"Dang it!"
Avery-"Aw, but I don't think I can 😕"
Victoria-"Well you best give it your all Avery or else you die."
Noah and Avery head to their challenge and await the game to begin...
