Blaine Anderson was broken.

He lay curled up on his bed, sobbing so much that nothing came out anymore.

He hasn't eaten in days, and every visit from Sam or Tina was turned away with a weak groan.

Blaine was so close to truly slipping away to whatever darkness that was holding him.

Sam had enough.
He was sick of seeing his friend-his best friend- is this state.
He thought that Blaine is going to die at the rate he's going at. Not eating, not drinking, not sleeping.

Sam wasn't stupid, he sees the pill bottles on Blaine's nightstand. He also knows that Blaine doesn't take prescription meds.
He was hurting for Blaine. He knew what Blaine did was wrong, he won't deny that, but he also knows how much he loves the blue eyed boy that was so many miles away.
Sam knew what he had to do.
-
Kurt was at Vogue when his phone would not stop buzzing. Message after message, phone call after phone call.
He politely excused himself from the meeting, and sat at his desk.
He was expecting it to be Blaine, preparing to simply block his number, but instead it was Sam.
Kurt was confused. Since when did Sam ever text or call Kurt?
He shrugged and called back.

"Kurt?" Sam breathed, panic in his voice.

"Yeah, yeah. What's up?" Kurt picked at his cuticles.

"It's Blaine. I rea-"

Kurt rolled his eyes. "I don't care! We're broken up. I don't want to see him anymore. Goodbye!"

"Kurt, wait!" Sam yelled with such urgency that Kurt complied

"Blaine, he's- I think that-" Sam took a deep breath. "Kurt, he's so messed up. He's trying to kill himself. You need to come."

Kurt hung up the phone. His head was spinning. Blaine. Trying to...
That was all Kurt needed. He practically pounced on the computer, booking a last minute ticket to Lima.
-
Sam picked up Kurt from the airport. Sam couldn't lie, he was pissed at Kurt. Pissed that he hurt his best friend like this.
They got to Blaine's house.

"Kurt, wait."
Kurt was nervously biting his nails, something he never does.

"You know, you really hurt him. Cheating is wrong, I know that.
But if only you saw Blaine while you were gone. He moped around everywhere!
Every song he sang in Glee was about missing someone you love.
Everyday I watched him sit alone in the corner, looking around with hurt eyes, as if he expected you to suddenly be sitting beside him.
Do you know how many times he sobbed in the locker room, desperately trying to reach you, hoping you would pick up and save him?
He just wanted to be loved, Kurt.
All Blaine wants is to be loved.
He cheated because he wanted someone to give him some love and attention, even just for a bit.
He cheated because the one person that always loved him, seemed to have stopped."

Kurt was crying now.
Everything Sam said was true. He wanted to race up the stairs to Blaine's room and hold him tight.
Sam lead him to Blaine's room.
-
Blaine heard a knock on his door and sighed as he heard it open.
He mumbled a "No, go away." Expecting it to be Sam or Tina again.

"Blaine?"

That wasn't Sam.
That wasn't Tina.
That was the voice of the man that he's only dreamed about seeing anytime soon.

"It's Kurt."

Duh, Blaine already knew that.
He wanted to leap up and wrap his arms around that boy that was once his. Instead he lay motionless on the bed, a tear or two rolling down his cheeks.

Kurt stood at the door, feeling guilty and sick. Was he the reason that Blaine is like this?
His heart dropped.
He didn't realize that Blaine loved him that much.
He didn't realize that breaking up would have this affect on him.
Sam tapped him on the shoulder. "Go!"
Kurt nodded, and wiped away a tear he didn't notice that fell.

He walked closer to Blaine's bed, noticing him flinch as Kurt got closer.
Kurt took a look at Blaine's nightstand.
Plates of food were untouched, and there were pill bottles of varying emptiness.
Kurt took a deep breath. Blaine doesn't take prescription meds.
Kurt decided to use his actions and not his words. He sat on the bed, next to Blaine and held the smaller boy in his arms. He felt Blaine tense up, then relax.

Blaine missed this. He missed it so much. But he knows that Kurt's just pitying him, and he'll soon go away again.

"Blaine?" Kurt whispered against Blaine's neck.

"Mhm?" Blaine deadpanned.

"I love you. I forgive you and I'm sorry that I made you feel like this. I love you. Please, please come back to me." Kurt cried softly.

Blaine thought. He said he loves me. He forgives me. He's sorry. He wants me back. He wants me back.
Blaine turned to face Kurt.
Kurt's heart stopped when he saw Blaine's face.
Tears stained his now pale and sickly complexion.
His eyes were sunken in and dark from a lack of sleep.
His lips were cracked and dry, and his hair was unkempt and unruly.

Blaine looked up at him. He then did what he hadn't done is weeks. He smiled.
Not a fake, 'I'll smile to make you happy and so you stop bothering me' smile, but a real smile. The smile he used when they went to prom together, the smile he used when they first met.
Blaine crashed his lips against Kurt. Kurt hummed happily, squeezing Blaine tighter.

"I love you so much, baby. I'm sorry that I did this to you." Kurt pressed a kiss to Blaine's forehead.

"I love you too. Please don't leave yet. Stay with me a little longer." Blaine said into Kurt's shoulder.

Kurt nodded, and for the first time in weeks, Blaine felt like everything would be okay.
