The next morning the young girl awoke to find the bed empty. Fuyu knocked on the door and the girl answered sleepily as she was greeted with a bow.
"You have done well milady. To pass every test is quite the feat. Your wedding is soon, so you must hurry and get ready. Today, you may let your hair go."
"Thank you, Fuyu." The girl gave a curtsey and was left to her chambers. A wedding dress sat on a mannequin near the vanity of the room. She removed her clothing and changed into the white dress, removing her bonnet and letting her twilight hair flow to her waist. She dawned a long white veil and looked at herself in the mirror.
"You look lovely, my dear!" A familiar voice called out. The girl looked down to the vanity to see the blue flower staring back at her. "Flower! You came to see me?" She asked in a curious tone.
"I am here for your wedding. A proper bride needs a proper bouquet." The flower stretched and sprouted more buds, each blooming instantly in a colorful display. "Let me be your bouquet for your wedding. I will bring you good luck with words in your future."
The girl picked up the flowers and smiled. "I will gladly bring you with me." Fuyu once again entered the room. "It is time my dear. Please, follow me." She extended a hand to the girl and guided her down the hall, walking down the hall and back to the ballroom.
"You are graceful on your feet, that is a good sign for today. It means you will not fumble today."
"Thank you Fuyu." She smiled as music started playing in the ballroom. Red and white flower petals falling from the ceiling in what seemed to be slow motion. It was like a fairy tale wedding, and her prince was waiting for her.
Fuyu walked with her down the aisle, waiting with her in front of the king. A gathering of demons, arranged by horn shape and size sat in the pews. Though it was not a binding by a god, the wedding would forever keep them together.
The king watched the girl as she smiled at him. "I do not think I've been very happy throughout my life, but I have enjoyed my time here with you.""That is good to hear my dear. Do you still think that you are not beautiful?" The king asked as he took her hand. "No, for you have opened my eyes to much more than just beauty. You have given me hope and love. But I must ask, why did you not give me a curse like the others in the village?"
"What do you mean? They are not curses, but blessings. And you my dear, have the most beautiful blessing of all." The king caressed the girl's raven colored hair, causing it to shine a radiant array of color. The girl gasped in surprise as the color faded, leaving her hair a pale white.
She smiled and held the king close, planting a kiss on his cheek. "Thank you for showing me what true beauty is."
The wedding went on and the kingdom rejoiced. The girl who was cast aside found her happy ending, and learned that true beauty lies within, that in order to see it- you need only love yourself and others.
