I'm Haliey, a 12 year old girl with a secret. I have ... powers. I've never understood why, I never understood how to use them either.
So one sunny sunday, I went to the kitchen to get some breakfast.
I grab the cereal from the pantry and milk from the fridge, I grab a bowl from the shelf and a spoon from the drawer.
I sit down and have my cereal, as my mom walks into the kitchen I smile at her.
"Good morning mom" I say as I look at how sleepy she is. "Good morning Haliey" she says going to get her breakfast.
Next walks in my step-father, he isn't really my step-father but my real father left with my brother when I was born.
So he is the closet I'll have as a father, but in reality he is sort of like a teacher for my powers.
"Ready for an amazing new day of power class!" He yells as he makes an unforgettable entrance.
I finished my cereal and hop out my chair, I go meet him in the lab.
I love the lab, its the best thing about our house.
I never got to use my powers in the lab, he said its to dangerous. "I'm ready as I'll ever be Leon!" I yell walking up to him.
I learnt boring stuff and as usual didn't get to use my powers. Its not learning if you don't test it, like watching a video on how to do something but don't actually do it.

"Before we go out into the town again, whats the number one rule" Leon asks me on our way out the door."If someone has the same last name as you it doesn't mean they're related to you." I answer, I know its a rule not every one would have.
But once I was out in the town and found a teenager with the same last name. Before you knew it I screamed brother to him.
I do it a lot actually, I want to find my brother. I know he's out there, I just had to look in the right place.
