OwO what's this? The rewrite I've been talking about for ages but never actually did? You bet your bottom dollar it is. Ehe, I love NicoMaki so much that I just had to rewrite this--the first version makes me cringe oops. Anyways! Here we are and I hope you're all ready for the new and improved version of Behind The Club Room Door (I realize now that it is not a clubhouse.) Let's get this started then, shall we~?

Maki's P.O.V
I walked in through the doors of my high school, the cool but welcome air of autumn sweeping in after me. It had been a ridiculously hot summer, and I was looking forward to the chilly days ahead. At least nobody would be at risk for collapsing from overheating if we worked hard.
I watched the other students make their way through the doors and into the school, laughing and joking with each other as if they were glad to be back. A sigh escaped me as I trudged my way to my locker, only one thought on my mind--the same thought I'd been having for weeks: there was no way I could ever tell my idiot senior how I felt.
I'd been trying to get her to notice how I felt for so long without coming out and saying, I love you, Nico-chan! Please accept my feelings! There was absolutely no way I could do something like that; she'd probably laugh at me for doing something so foolish.
I sighed, slamming my locker shut and slipping on my inside shoes, and began making my way to class. Everyone moved out of my way as I strode down the halls--it was really a curse being this beautiful.
It didn't take more than three seconds of me entering the classroom and sitting at my desk before both Rin and Hanayo to come up to me. They accompanied me to my desk and Rin asked, "how is the song coming along-nya?"
Sighing, I propped my head up using my hand and said, "the song is just fine. Umi's lyrics made it easy to compose the music." I glanced at the clock and bit my lip, wondering what time Nico would be coming to school. She'd probably be late again after having to walk her siblings to school. She always overworked herself when it came to them.
Rin's voice pulled me from my thoughts as she said, "that's so good-nya!" She hugged me tight and began nuzzling my cheek. "I'm so excited-nya! Can Kayo-chin and I hear it after school today? I can't wait!"
I looked away from the two of them, twirling a lock of hair around my finger. "Not a chance. You'll hear it when I show the rest of the group." Rin looked sad for a minute but quickly regained her energy as Hanayo stepped forward, her ever-present gentleness soothing Rin. She lightly rested a hand on Rin's head and she began purring, leaning into Hanayo's touch. My eyes widened and I looked away once more, feeling my face grow hot.
"M-Maki-chan, you look nice today." Hanayo said, her voice quiet. "Have you done something different?"
I continued twirling my hair as I said, "I-I got a new school uniform because my old ones were too small..." I trailed off when I saw Rin staring at my breasts, looking rather jealous. "E-eh?! What are you doing Rin?"
"Maki-chan, how do you stay so slim yet have such big breasts?!" she demanded, leaning in close to me with an annoyed look on her face. I moved back away from her, my face becoming as red as my hair.
"W-What are you talking about?!"
"Rin-chan! We're in class!" Hanayo said, her voice sounding a little surprised. "Come on, class starts in a few minutes, let's go sit down." Hanayo instructed, pulling Rin after her. Rin protested at first but then caved and went to her desk.
Finally, they left, I thought, looking out the window and watching the bare branches sway in the wind. With nothing else to occupy my mind, my thoghts drifted to Nico; her cute smile as I walked through the door, her adorable voice as she sang the songs I wrote for her, her soft hair between my fingers as I ran my hands through her black locks, her pink lips pressed to mine... My face suddenly turned bright red. I knew none of those things were going to happen but... A girl can dream right?
"Nishikino-san. Nishikino-san. Nishikino Maki-san!" I jumped when I realized the teacher was calling my name.
"Y-yes?" I stood up quickly, blushing furiously. Giggles erupted throughout the class, only furthering my embarrassment.
"Please continue reading." The teacher said, sighing in exasperation.
I nodded and closed my eyes, sighing. The giggles continued and I picked up my book, beginning where we left off. It was going to be a long day.
================================================================
The day went by slower than I'd ever thought possible but once that glorious bell rang to signal the end of classes, I was glad to be on my way to the roof. Perhaps I could do well in practice today to make up for the terrible work I did in class.
When I arrived at the roof I found Honoka, Umi, Kotori, and Eli there, already beginning their stretches. I sighed with relief but then tensed again, realizing that she would be there sooner or later.
I set my bag down and began my stretches as well. "Hey, Maki-chan?" Honoka asked, looking over at me. "Are you alright? You look kinda... Pale."
"I'm fine, Honoka. Just had a rough day that's all," I told her, bending over to stretch my back. She looked at me with worry but then smiled and nodded, skipping away to stretch with Eli.
I had barely begun to stretch when Hanayo burst through the doors, panting heavily with Rin right by her side. We all gathered around with wide eyes, waiting for her to catch her breath. She looked up at us with tears in her eyes and said through pants, "this... This needs big help!"
================================================================
Within five minutes we were all sitting around the club room table, watching Hanayo and Rin with wide eyes.
"You're absolutely sure?!" Eli asked, concern and worry filling her voice.
"One hundred percent! We called her home and Cocoro confirmed that Nico-chan left for school this morning! We looked everywhere but..." Hanayo trailed off, her eyes filling with tears once more.
I stood up, slamming my hands on the table. Everyone jumped, their eyes on me. I met Hanayo's gaze and demanded, "what do you mean Nico-chan is missing?!"
