Knuckles felt so nervous when morning came around he felt extremely nervous about this... that's when Sonic came in wearing black jeans, black boots, and a black jacket with a black top. He looked like a goth gangster with a fearsome and angered mood. Knuckles thoroughly sees him thick and thin. Sonic said dull-like, are you ready yet or what? Knuckles whispered, almost... Sonic looked away and said very dull-like, I can't believe that I had to be paired up with you...how stupid...not to mention embarrassing. Knuckles whispered, well sorry but... The blue hedgehogs arms were limp as he let go of the knifes handle...his eyes in shock and body shivering he tried resisting but couldn't...he felt paralyzed. Knuckles whispered in his ear, I...I'm sorry... he broke the hug as Sonic just looked away and blushed little as he said emotionless, there's nothing to be sorry about...let's just go already... when they reached the syndicate meeting each of them were a lined. Manic said as he walked with his partner, alright everyone each of you have one target...so don't mess up...alright? All 30 siblings said, yes big brother. The siblings and their partners walked out. Sonic and Knuckles just stood there... Destruction only walked to Sonic and said happily, break a leg big brother. Sonic chuckled and said, I'll wish you luck as well Destruction... Destruction said as he smiled, thanks big brother. Sonic said as he walked off, anytime little brother. They walked off as well...a moment later when they see their target a
male-Rabbit hooker with a tough side. Sonic whispered, wait right here...I'll show you how it's done... Sonic walks to their target with a syringe in his hand... the rabbit noticed him as he became alarm and said, what do you want squirt? Sonic made sure the syringe was out of sight as he said, oh not much...just...*pins him to the wall roughly* THIS!! Sonic pulled the syringe and attempted to plunge it... the rabbit flung it away to where Knuckles is and attacked him... Sonic fought back although they kicked and hit each other in the face, stomach, and legs.. Sonic got stunned as the rabbit began strangling him. Knuckles in shock just stood there for a minute before noticing the syringe... with no time to loose Knuckles grabbed the syringe and began running to them. Sonic struggled to breath as the rabbits grip on his throat grew tighter. But thats when Knuckles yelled as he plunged the syringe into him causing the rabbit hooker to let go with his eyes widened, GET THE FUCK OFF OF HIM!!! Sonic took the opportunity and pushed the rabbit aside, the rabbit hooker said as he looked at them with wide shocking eyes as the chemical in the syringe kicked in, no...i..it was a trap...I..I can't believe it... he felt fear in him before getting knocked. Sonic heavily breath as he couldn't believe his eyes...though Knuckles coming to the rescue wasn't part of the plan...he didn't know what to say....covered in bruises he still don't know what to say. Sonic thought, I don't understand...I didn't expect Knuckles to come and save me...most partners we were paired with always attempt to run (but failed and had to be wound up into the syndicate) or stand there in fear but...he didn't do any of it...he just ran and plunged it to his neck...what the hell? Knuckles took his hand and helped Sonic stood up... Sonic ask, w..why did you save me?...after all I done? Knuckles said, I couldn't just stand there and let you die... I didn't wanna run away besides if I did you all will kill me...*sighs* but I couldn't watch you get killed. Sonic was stunned about what he said as they dragged their target back. About three hours later when all 31 siblings came back with the targets... Manic was surprised to see Sonic bruises up. Manic said, Sonic what happened? Sonic said, our target attacked me... Manic said as he brushed the dirt off of him, try to be more careful okay?...some target don't wanna be caught easily. Sonic said, understood big brother. Sonic walked off as Knuckles was about to Manic places a hand on his shoulder and said, hey...I heard from Streak that you saved Sonic from getting killed by our target....*Knuckles nodded slowly* I wanted to...thank you for saving my brothers life...it's not often that those who are chosen do that. Knuckles walked off slowly and said, it was nothing. Manic thought as he looked up, well...guess I was right to choose him with Hikaru...besides Hikaru never fell in love like ever....I know he's a bit like Sunako when she likes girls...well guess time will tell when the right time comes I guess...I know Sonic can open his heart to him...*smiles* well...good luck kid...your gonna need it. He chuckled as he walked off.
