Virgo's POV
As I got off the subway, I put my brown hood over my head again, seeing it was rainy outside. Walking up the stairs that lead to the streets, I diligently walked through the bustling and noisy crowds. Many droplets of rain were falling onto my jacket, making me feel cold. I kept walking through the loud mass of people until I reached my studio building. It was at this time I took off my damp hood and overcoat and walked towards the dance studio. I opened the door to see Leo practicing to one of the songs for our performance in two days.
"Hi Leo, how's it going?" I asked.
"Good, I just keep messing up this one part." he answered in anger.
"What part of the song is it?" I questioned.
He turned it to the part he kept messing up on and I tried to show him. I kept doing it along with him until he got it.
"Thanks Virgo. Did you get caught up in the rain?" Leo asked trying to change subject.
"Yeah, and I'm cold as shit, I'm turning the heat on." I said.
"Are you nervous about Thursday?"
"Duh, everyone knows these songs, so we gotta bring or else it'll be shit." I stated bluntly.
Our dance group is dancing to old 90's hip hop, hence why our performance is called Throwback Thursday. Over 1,000 people said they'd come, and that's a lot of people to impress. I'm surprised I haven't shat myself yet.
"Come on, we don't have many trouble spots collectively. Once we ace those, we'll be fucking amazing. Stop worrying so much." Leo reassured.
"Thanks Leo. I have a question for you." I said.
"I have an answer." he stated.
"Is there anything you planned to do after Throwback Thursday?" I asked.
"No, just going to eat out and relax really." Leo answered.
"We should hang out afterward." I proposed.
"Sure, maybe we could look around Times Square." Leo said.
I nodded with agreement and we just talked and waited until everyone came for practice. I'll cut them slack, the rain fucking slows you down in New York it seems.
Time skip
We had just finished performing our last dance for Throwback Thursday. There was a loud crowd in front of us cheering loudly. All of us reeked of sweat, but at least our performance was good. We released formation and we all thanked everyone for coming out. All of us tiredly walked backstage to wipe off our sweat.
"Good job Virgo." Sagittarius said.
"Thanks Sag, you were good tonight dancing with Libra." I complimented.
"Please, you and Leo were better." she stated. "Speaking of, are you two dating?"
"No, why you ask? You like him or something?" I asked somewhat jealous.
"Nah, I just wanted to see your reaction. I know you like him now." Sagittarius teased.
"Suck my ass Sagittarius." I said dismissively.
"What did homegirl do to you?" Leo chimed in.
"She keeps teasing me about liking someone." I answered annoyed.
"Who?" Leo asked.
"I wasn't teasing, I was reading your ass about liking him Virgo." Sagittarius teased pointing at Leo.
"Ah, so did you fall for looks or charm?" Leo teased.
"Shut the hell up." I said blushing.
"We're about to go, see you guys later." Leo called out.
Everyone started to wave goodbye as we left the building. I took my hands from my face looking around Times Square to see where we were going. We decided we'd go to a McDonalds in the area since we weren't in the mood for something fancier. Once we walked in and ordered, Leo sat at a table near the register. After the lady called up our orders, we got them and decided to eat at Central Park. We walked throughout the streets and had conversation about our performance.
"How did you think we did?" I asked.
"I thought we were good! Why did you think we messed up somewhere?" Leo stated.
"I don't know, Work It by Missy Elliot felt a bit off."
"It was only for a moment where Libra and Cancer fell. Other than that, it wasn't bad. No one seemed to notice anyways. Work It was the first song, people barely remember the first, they always remember the last."
"That's true. We were good at our dance."
"Obviously. We're here, where do you want to sit?" Leo asked.
"Over there." I pointed.
We sat down and ate our well deserved dinner. After dancing and walking everywhere, we got tired. Leo and I had deep conversation about what we'd end up doing if our dance group doesn't work. He said he'd have more time to develop his business in the city and I never knew he was that professional. He has a playful personality.
"What would you end up doing if the group split up?" Leo questioned.
"I've invested a lot into this group, but I'd end up going to medical school and become a doctor." I stated.
"Really? You have a degree in nursing?"
"I have an associate degree, I'd work on getting a masters so I'd have a better chance and a better paycheck. I've learned Spanish for this career branch."
"You're fluent in Spanish?"
"Yes, it's the second most used language in the country. So it's important to know if you ended up in the medical field." I explained.
"Say something." Leo said.
"Eres un idiota pero te amo."
"What does that mean?"
"You're an idiot but I love you."
"Aww, thanks. I love myself too!"
"I take back the part about loving you, idiot." I stated annoyed.
"I'm just playing, I love you too." Leo said laughing.
We ended up hugging each other and feeling jokes until we noticed it was getting dark.
"What time is it Virgo?" Leo asked.
"Shit, it's almost nine." I replied shocked.
"How long have we been here?"
"I don't know. But we need to leave. Do you have anything planned for tomorrow?"
"I have to look at the status of my business. Why you ask?"
"I wanted to have a lazy day tomorrow. Where we don't have to leave and walk so much."
"I'd like that. I'll text when I'm done. Do you have to take the subway? I'm walking you home. Don't ever fucking trust nyc at night."
"Yeah, I'm taking the subway."
"Lets go shall we?" Leo asked.
"Lets go." I responded.
After getting up and throwing our trash, we held hands walking towards the subway. 'We should do this again, I had fun.' I thought. My train of thought was distracted as Leo kissed me unexpectedly. I was shocked at first, but I warmed up and kissed back.
"I love you." Leo said softly.
'Yep, hes a keeper.' I thought with a smile.
