      It's 2:00 AM, AND I can't sleep...SO LES DO DIS!!!!

                          Nick's POV
My sword clashed with the soldiers infront of me. I pushed heavily against it, blocking his rough attack. I shoved him back with a dead-weight body attack, and as he stumbled, I slashed his right leg. He cried out in pain, and I slashed his other leg. He fell to his knees, and I slashed his throat, wincing as he let out a pitiful, choking cry. His body then went limp, falling forward. I REALLY hated killing, but it had to happen...

I was in the middle of fighting in an important war. We were once a large, populated, peaceful kingdom. We went by the name 'Shredtopia', funny name, I know. It was created by my once good friend, Tommy. The kingdom was ruled by King Newscape, but I knew him better as Cory. He was a great king, and a fantastic friend...But one day, he changed. He became dark and sadistic, torturing people, killing people... Me and my friends Ashlie and Uni confronted Cory about his behavior, but he didn't take it nicely. He attempted to kill us, but we escaped. We started a revolution, taking half of the army to fight against him.

My old best friend, Tommy, stayed on Cory's side. He believed that Cory was doing right, and that a revolution was useless. We split ways, and now the kingdom was split with us. A war was started between our armies, and that's where we are now. Two weeks into this terrible, useless war. We were winning though, and the odds seemed in our favor completely. We all believed that we could end Cory's reign, and restore peace among our amazing kingdom.

I swung my sword at another soldier, cutting right through his chest, resulting in him falling over, dying in an instant. I shuddered, staring at his corpse. "Oh, dear Nicholas, does killing bother you?" I heard and achingly familiar voice question from behind me. No...It can't be... I thought nervously. "Oh, of course it does! You're kind, peaceful, do-right Nick!" They continued. "What do you want, Tommy?" I hissed, about to turn around. "Oh, nothing...Just this!" Tommy said loudly, triumph in his voice.

I suddenly froze as I felt an aching, painful feeling in chest. No... I thought as I slowly looked down. I felt my breath hitch as I saw a sword blade  protruding tjrough my chest. I felt Tommy's breath on my ear as he whispered, "Poor, foolish, Nick...You've always had so much trust in me, even now." He hissed, "Pathetic..." He finished, yanking his sword out of my chest. I gasped, falling to my knees, hunched over. I was breathing heavily, my eyes locked on the ground. I slowly looked up, seeing Tommy standing over me, smirking. He still wore the same emoji mask that he used to wear. "Hmph, I thought you'd put up more of a fight, Nick." He said bitterly.

I coughed harshly, felling blood drip out of my mouth. I looked up, meeting eyes with Tommy, feeling his gaze even through his mask. "W-Why?" I croaked weakly, feeling blood pooling under me. He smirked bigger, "Because this is a WAR, Nick. You're trying to overthrow Cory, and that's a big no no." Tommy said, shaking his head. I laughed an airy, dry laugh. "C-Cory is a m-monster...A-And so are y-you..." I snarled weakly. Tommy rolled his eyes. "Yeah, uh huh." He said, lifting one of his dirty boots to my chest and shoving me backwards. My weak body fell simply on the ground, sprawled out weakly. "Just lay down and die already, traitor." Tommy snarled, walking away. I stared at the sky weakly, my eyes half open. I felt the warm, sticky blood pooling around me as my eyes began to slowly close. "Nick!?" I heard Unis voice call fearfully, then unconsciousness consumed me.

I felt an aching agony in my chest as I slowly began to awaken. My body felt numb and tingly, and I realized quite fast that I couldn't move. My eyelids felt stapled shut, but my curiosity to open them overran my weak state. I cracked my eyes opened a bit, and I saw a blurry silhouette standing above me. I blinked a few times, hoping for my vision to clear up. After a few times, my vision did clear up, and I was able to see the person standing above me.

They were male, and they had a small, skinny body. His skin was a whitish, pale color. He had dark green hair, and I noticed that he was wearing a purple and green jester outfit. My eyes met with his, and I was suprised to see that they were a beautiful violet color. His eyes held a cold and emotionless look, but it almost seemed to pity me. I noticed that he had a small brown satchel around his body, which seemed to be filled with something. But my eyes soon trailed to the blue healing potion that he held in his gloves hands. He must be a healer, then... I thought weakly, staring up at him. He definently wasn't on our side, though. Which meant, by law, he couldn't heal me. I still couldn't keep my eyes from trailing to the small healing potion in his hand.

I glanced around, realizing that the battle had ended, and there were only healers on the battle field. Healers were sent after battles to heal injured or dying men, and to identify and collect bodies. I noticed that my healers were on the other side of the field, and they seemed to have already healed those on the side that I was on. I guess they thought I was dead... I thought in slight sadness. At least I'll die as a hero of war, and have helped fight for the cause... I thought, and small smile crossing my pale face.

I looked back at the jester above me, and his gaze wavered, then he shut his eyes, sighing heavily. He turned his head away from me, and opened his eyes once more. This time, though, they were filled with sorrow. He glanced back at me, and he seemed to be holding back tears. He turned his head to face me again, then he looked down at his feet, "Just take it..." He mumbled, and I was suprised when he threw a healing potion beside me. It exploded, and I immediantly felt my wounds begin to seal. He looked down at me, his gaze sad and serious. "Don't tell ANYONE what I've done...Cory will have my head..." He murmured, and I nodded a bit with what strength I had. He cracked a small smile, then he seemed to realize something. "Oh yes, and you need rest." He mumbled, digging in his satchel. He pulled out a small, pinkish purple vile with a moon sticker on it. Sleep potion... I thought.

He threw it at me, and I was immediantly hit with an uncontrollable wave of exhaustion. My vision blurred a bit, and my eyes began to close. I saw him look at me with a soft smile, then he turned away from me. "See you around, Brown Eyes." He said. And the last thing I saw before my eyes closed completely, was the small boy walking away, then I fell asleep, the powerful effects of the potion working nicely.

A/N It's currently 3:06 AM, help me, I need sleep...And I'm afraid of 3:00 AM ghosts...This is my worst nightmare. Well, anyways, I HOPE YOU HAVE AN AMAZING DAY/NIGHT!! AND GOODBYE PEEPS!!!
