"This is absolutely gorgeous, Elizabeth!" Bailey exclaims as we walk through the hotel lobby. I had to agree, it was very classy and high end.
"Last name?" The man at the front desk asks.
"4th reservation for Grier please." Elizabeth tells him.
"How many hotel rooms do you need?" Bailey asks her.
"Well, one for you two, one for Skylynn and I, and two for all the boys." Mrs.Grier laughs. Bailey gives me the "oh my god, they're in this building" look. I expect her to start freaking out, but she doesn't. We follow the duo into the elevator, and up into our rooms.
"Our room is 247, just down the hall. Nash or Hayes should be coming down soon so you can meet everyone." Elizabeth smiles, waves, and heads down the hallway with Skylynn.
We head into our room, and it's huge, more like an apartment. It has a kitchen, two separate bedrooms, a family room, and a bathroom. She said one of them should be here pretty quick, so we pick our rooms and unpack our bags. I sit down on the couch, and sigh. It's been a long day, and probably going to be even longer. But it's not like I'm going to sleep anyways. I hear a knock on the door, so I jump up and answer it. A shorter kid, maybe 14 or 15 gives me a huge smile.
"Umm... Hi?" I say, a bit confused.
"Oh, sorry. I'm Hayes!" The boy introduces himself. He sorta stares at me and that's when I realize I'm wearing my old clothes.
"Oh, sh-, be right back." I slam the door in his face and quickly change into shorts and a tanktop. I sprint back out and open the door again, while I'm putting my hair in a bun above my head.
"Sorry, my name is Allie, Bailey is..." she walks out of her bedroom, "Oh, right there. She's your cousin." He gives an "ohhh" look at me, and gestures us to come with him.
"I got the key." I tell Bailey as we close the door. We follow Hayes up the stairs, and land on the second floor to the top. He leads us down the hallway and puts the key card in the door. I can hear people yelling while the door is still closed. When he opens the door, I see a bunch of boys, well I don't know what I was expecting. An older looking Hayes tries to calm everyone down.
"Everybody! The guests are here!" He yells. I can see Bailey starting to get super excited, and I give her a look telling her to calm down. She takes a deep breath. All the boys get in a sort of line and start greeting me, because they all know Bailey knows who they are.
"Nash, Hayes' brother." He smiles at me.
"Aaron, pleasure to meet you... Allie?" I nod my head.
"Cameron... And you?" Cameron asks.
"Oh, I'm Allie, nice to meet you." I say.
The next boy comes up, looking a little nervous, "Hello, I-I'm Shawn." I smile at him and he returns it shyly.
"Allie." I reply.
Two boys come up, and synchronized they both hold out their hands and say "I'm Jack!" I laugh a little bit at this, and shake their hands. Also, I introduce myself.
"Heyyy, I'm Matthew, or Matt. Whatever you wanna call me." The next one says.
"How about Mattchu?" I raise one eyebrow. He does the same and pats me on one shoulder.
"Okay, sounds like a plan." He agrees.
The second last guy in line walks up. He's pretty cute in my opinion. Never thought I would think that. He's wearing a snapback, but it's on backwards.
"Hello there," he bows at me, making me giggle softly, "I'm Carter, or Cartahh." He smiles.
"Okay. I'm Allie." I smile back.
The last one steps up, he's a bit taller than me, and is wearing a yellow bandana, with a tye dye shirt.
"Yo." He winks at me, and bites his lip. Carter might have been cute, but he is plain old gorgeous, "I'm Taylor." He licks his lips.
"Allie..." I say as normal as possible. I glance over him at the alarm clock, which reads 10:40pm. When I look back, he's staring at me. What am I thinking? He's such a flirt. Turning to my right, I see Cameron talking to Bailey, and he looks interested. I give her crossed eyes, our signature sign that says he's into you.
"Um, we should get back to our room now..." I try to tell them over the noise,
"Carter?" I try and get his attention. He flips around, and grins.
"What's up?" he looks concerned.
"I think I'm going to head back, I'm really tired." Which was mostly true, but it's not like I'm going to sleep.
"Aw c'mon, you just got here! I don't want you to leave." He pouts.
"Sorry." I whisper, but he hears me.
"Can I at least walk you back to your room?" He asks hopefully. I laugh and nod.
"Alright I guess." Carter does a little dance and then holds the door open for me. I step out, and when the door closes behind him, it's super quiet. I didn't realize how noisy they are until now. We walk beside each other just our arms touching. It is silent, but not an awkward silence. When we reach my room, he just stands there looking at me while I open the door.
"Whaaaat?" I ask teasingly. He quickly looks away, but turns bright red when he realized I caught him, "just say it!"
"Uh, can I have your number before I go?" Carter stammers. I hold out my hand, waiting for me to give him his phone. After he unlocks it, he hands it over and I click on the contacts app. I type 'Allie' with a little smiley face beside it, then give it back to him. As I'm about to walk into my room, he stops me, "Can I also get a picture with you? For the contact photo of course."
I nod and give my best smile for the picture. Once we're finished, I wave goodbye and close the door, and then go to my bedroom. I flop down on the bed, and smile a little.
Hey, maybe this trip won't be so bad after all.
