"jeon jeongguk! get your ass off the floor while im sweeping!"seokjin, private investigator, and eldest brother of the kim house had told his younger brother off.
jeon jeongguk was their half brother. and the youngest police in training. he wasnt exactly a kim, but he didnt mind using it as his surname
"sheesh sheesh im getting off now hyung.. see." he lifted himself, and sat on the coffee table instead. the oldest slowly becoming insane
the door opened, taehyung and namjoon walking through.
"early?" jin wondered. "you both look like abominable shit." he commented
"thanks." namjoon conceded, heading towards the bathroom.
"whats up with hyung. he doesnt look nice today." jeongguk stated, eyes glued to the screen of his video game.
taehyung sighed, sitting down next to the youngest brother, "hes been up and about, about a case."
"do tell."
"can't, this case doesnt involve you noob." taehyung mocked, ruffling jeongguks hair before getting up for a glass of water.
jeongguk protested with a groan, "im in the workforce too, its not like im going to involve myself with any of your cases. im just genuinely curious." he threw a smug smile. "plus you three know and its not fair to leave me hanging."
"not to be rude, but mind your own fucking business." taehyung retorted.
"hey, watch your language. im about to cook dinner, mind helping me in the kitchen." jin stated with emphasis, to show taehyung that he has no choice but to go.
they maneuvered into the kitchen, jin gathering the pan, and cooking materials.
"i know you just got home from work and you're stressed but go a little easy with jeongguk, hes been training alot today truth be told, he looks up to his hyungs and wants to be like us, or better i presume, anyway how's it going with the case."
"stressful. police are dying, one by one, you work from home, kind of, did you figure anything out?"
"there was a murder yesterday, guy shot right in the head. could be related to the death of the many police, but this man wasnt in the workforce that's all i could find out.." jin sighed.
"so what? people are suddenly dying in town? im starting to think that we should tell jeongguk about this one. im worried for his safety." taehyung leaned against the counter, watching jin cut up the vegetables.
"jeongguk will be fine, hes only in training, you know how he is, sticking his head in places where they dont belong."
taehyung chuckled, remembering when jeongguk got involved in a case that he wasnt supposed to involve himself in.
"but still, noobs still cut out as cops. he should atleast be informed about the murders of cops."
"so i hear." jeongguk popped out of nowhere.
"you eavesdropping little shit." taehyung cursed. jin smacking his arm.
"gguk, you know this case is much more serious right? i trust that you be aware but dont get involved with it, right? you hear me right?" jin turned around. his eyes settled on the boy who shoved strawberries in his mouth
"jeongguk!" jin yelled for the last time. jeongfuk throwing his head forward, strawberries in his mouth, "i know hyung i know." he reassured, stepping out of the kitchen, same time namjoon went in.
"namjoon, take some medicine. you really dont look too well." jin sighed. worrying for his brother.
"i stayed up extra late for this case. but i feel fine."
"then go have some rest. ill wake you up when dinner is cooked." jin crossed his arms.
"hyung im really-.."
"im not going to repeat myself." the eldest stated. his eyes never leaving namjoons. this made the other sigh in defeat. he took a sleeping pill before going back to his room, giving a little wave to them as he disappeared.
"god, he just doesn't quit." tae shook his head, jin hummed, "always been the smartest. never once had he left a case unsolved."

"can't you be more rational about this!" having to be yelled at, for what exactly?
"you're lucky the body was found right after we covered your tracks. you're so careless when killing someone you know!" his fist slammed against the desk in front of you
eyes heavily glaring at your stature. "father, it wasn't careless."
"your lipstick stained the surface of his cheek! how is that not careless?"
rolling your eyes, and pushing your head back. the man was unnerving when it comes to shit like this
"i'm kind of getting tired of dog napping the prey. he wasn't really a lead to anything. plus the money wasn't ours."
"the money wasn't yours it was mines."
"gives me more of a reason why i shouldn't have done the job."
the man gritted his teeth harshly, "what happened to your loyalty."
it made you smirk, a laugh emitting from your throat, "loyalty, said like it matters. i was born to be used as a killer. there's no loyalty in that." you grinned
"out of this house. you are no longer apart of the mafia. i've given you my last warning, and you wasted it just like that." he muttered obviously disappointed
you rose your brows when his men surrounded you with a gun, "you're banished from coming here. and if you so as sneak back in. you're just putting your life on the line."
hardly sparing a glance at you, he shouted, "go!"
you stood up and sighed, eyes gazing onto your father before you turned a hip and walked out of the room
a tiny smirk on your lips, this is what you wanted. a little freedom.
and so, you packed your stuff and jumped out of the window. leaving the luxury of your home to somewhere, no one else would find you.
wiping yourself off the map completely. but it wasn't like you were on it in the first place. you were known to be a killer, part of a dangerous mafia group but it was something you were clearly dissatisfied with
now all you had to do,
was to get your brother out of prison.
