Above, you will see Kaylee. In the five years she has been in England, her hair grew out to her shoulders and she became a bit more feminine. But, she's still not afraid to beat you up or be saracastic if she needs be.
Chapter 2: The Interview
Jesse's POV
I opened my eyes a little bit and looked at my window. It was bright and sunny outside and I frowned, not ready to face the day. I rolled onto my right side and glanced at my alarm clock. Oh, it's 8:42. I closed my eyes and my body relaxed. Wait a moment.
I jumped out of bed and grabbed my alarm clock. It's 8:42?!? Why didn't it go off? I threw the alarm clock and rushed to the bathroom. I quickly stripped my clothes and jumped in the shower. I scrubbed my hair and body before I jumped back out and ran to my bedroom, not bothering to grab a towel. I started rummaging through my closet.
"You know, I normally like to see girls running around naked, but right now, it's more weird than anything." a voice said. I looked back and saw Rachel leaning against my bedroom door.
"I'm late." I said.
"I know." she said, smiling. "Hurry up, I'll make breakfast." Rachel left and I scrambled to grab clothes. I pulled on a black pencil skirt and a white, button-up blouse. I slipped on a pair of black flats as I rushed down the stairs. I ran into the kitchen and Rachel had toast sitting on a plate and was frying up a few eggs.
I grabbed the toast and shoved it in my mouth. "Thanks." I said, giving her a quick hug before running to the door.
"My keys are hanging up!" she yelled after me. I grabbed her keys off my key rack and was out of the house with a loud slam behind me. I ran to her car and slid into the driver seat, setting my phone up to give me directions to the address my mother sent me. I didn't have a car myself, so Rachel was letting me borrow hers to get there. We work together, so I normally catch rides with her to work, so I never needed to get a car. Maybe I need to get one now.
I drove the address provided and I thought my mother got it wrong. Instead of bringing me to a business building, it brought me to a big house in the suburbs. I double checked the address and got out of the car. Worst comes to worst, I go to the door and ask and they say no.
I walked up the brick sidewalk and knocked on the door. I heard a loud, "Coming!" from the other side and children screaming. Loud crashing came and more yelling before the door was pulled open and a woman stood on the other side. She had blonde hair that went down to her shoulders and hazel eyes. She wore black shorts and a white tank top, and I could see a bump on her stomach. I wasn't sure if she was pregnant or not, but I'm not going to be the person who asks that.
"Hi, my name is Jesse. I was told I can get an interview here." I said, slowly. She looked at me and nodded.
"It's nice to meet you, Jesse, my name is Kaylee. Come in." she said, stepping back and letting me step inside. I looked around and could see children's toys everywhere. "You're here for the maid position, right?"
"Yes, ma'am." I said, trying to be polite. She smiled and waved me to follow her. I did and we went into the kitchen. She pointed to one of the seats at the table and I sat down as she grabbed some cups.
"Coffee? Tea? Water?" she asked.
"Oh, um, some water please." I said. She filled the cup with water and brought it over to me, sitting down next to me. I took the cup and brought it up to my lips. Right before I took a drink, someone touched my legs. I put the cup down and see a little child looking up at me. He was young, maybe four or five. He had curly black hair and bright blue eyes.
