Chapter 14

With my vision fixed upwards, the starry dark blue sky was all I could see. From the corner of my eye I could see Adam sitting down, right next to me.

“Beautiful, correct?” he asked

I diverted the eyes from the sky and looked towards Adam. However, instead of looking at the sky, like I thought he was, he was staring at me.

“Yeah, it is.” I blurted out, not knowing how to respond to that.

“I was talking about the sight in front of me”

Then Adam was gone. Instead, I found myself staring at the back of a man, sitting in front of a lot of screens. All the screens had one thing in common: they played footage of me. Me in school. Me sleeping in my bed. Me watching TV while eating ice cream. Me with Maha, discussing what clothes would look good on me. Me crying my eyes out when Valerie was rude to me. Me bawling furiously in my mothers’ arms because of being fat. I wanted to scream, scream my lungs out. I wanted to somehow stop that man from seeing every moment of my life. I didn’t want him to see me cleaning my house while belting out songs, but then he too disappeared. This time I found myself, tied up to a chair. I could hear someone pacing around the room. A first I couldn’t see but then the blackness that dominated my vision, slowly faded away and I saw a man with a whip. He drew closer to me and I couldn’t move. I could feel my brain trying to command my arms and legs to move, but it was like they had a mind of their own. My body refused to listen to me. It felt like my mind and body were two different parts of me, completely independent, not in need of one another. The man was an inch away from me, smiling viciously and then the torture starts. The whip in his hand keeps on hitting my arms, my face, and my legs, causing my skin to tear open and bleed. I could feel my lungs and heart give out; also stopping their actions as my brain still couldn’t reach my body. My last breath escapes my lips as another whip lashes my skin

When I woke up, my head ached like hell. All I could see was darkness. Then I started recollecting the events of last night. It was hard to remember at first but soon in enough all that happened streamed into my mind. The party, the disgusting drink, which I am guessing was spiked, then my search of CLWT91, then something striking my head. Oh my god, maybe I hurt myself so bad that I got blind. Is that even possible? I tried moving my hands to feel my eyes, but to no avail. My hands did not move. In fact, they hurt. I realized, then, that something was tied around my wrist, not only my wrist but also my ankles. It was then that the panic settled in. What the hell am I doing tied up and I also have a hunch I’m not blind but in fact blindfolded. I started to panic, and thrashed about in the chair, hoping to loosen the restraints. But no matter what I tried, I couldn’t free myself. I heard footsteps in the room, and realized that I wasn’t here alone. Now that one sense of mine was hindered, I guess my other senses sharpened because the footsteps were way too loud, they echoed in the room. That or may be the room is too quiet. Either way, the steps were coming closer to me.

“I see you’ve woken up, Ms Jones,” a voice said. That voice, it was sickeningly familiar, but I couldn’t put my finger on it. “How pathetic! You actually fell for that little trick of mine.”

“Who the hell are you?” I asked, my voice wavering with fear.

“Why I am Louis… CLWT91. The guy you’ve been talking to for the past few months. Sad, isn’t it? Teenage girls like you can fall for anything.”

That voice, where have I heard that voice? It was so very familiar, yet I couldn’t remember who it belonged to. Those words would seem appropriate, coming from an old aging man, but that voice so it seemed like it belonged to a young man, may be in his 20’s. Although, before I could say anything I was struck on the head, yet again, and drowsiness overtook my consciousness.

At first darkness was all that dominated my vision. However, soon enough I was in a beautiful park, the green trees surrounding me. N front of me I saw Maha and Adam. We were sitting on the very prickly grass with a picnic basket. Adam kept glancing at his wrist watch and Maha kept complaining about how someone person is always late. I was baffled, I had no idea who was the star of this discussion and then he appears. Blue tee shirt, brown pants, hair styled in to his usual quiff. His olive skin glowed as the sun shone down upon him and his eyes, which I had a gut feeling were brown, were shielded my sunglasses. As soon as he approached us, though, I was transported was again in to the shabby room. A man, with a whip in his hand, smiled menacingly at me and then one by one whip lashes down on me.
