Adam's POV

All my life searching for my mate and I finally found her and she turns out to be my bestfriend.

I always felt myself being attached to her, but I thought it was just because I thought of her as a sister than a mate.

I was chasing after her when she ran away from that jerk Aiden but I lost her. I was looking for her when I got hit with a breath taking scent, I was sniffing around for it until I finally found the source.

Aria

I don't know why I didn't take notice of her scent before, it was amazing. We looked into each other's eyes and I took a step forward and she did the same, it kept going like that until we were inches away from eachother.

I licked her nose than muzzled my head into her neck, it kept going like that until I pulled away and gave her a wolf smile

'Shift' I said in the mind link

I walked behind a Bush and put on my basketball shorts, she already was in human form when I came back

I took her hand and walked to the waterfall and sat on the river bank

"So I guess your my second chance mate, huh?" She asked out of nowhere

"I guess so" I simply replied

"Good cause I wouldn't want anyone else" she placed her head on my shoulder and continued to look at the water

1 hour later....

We walked back to the house with our hands tangled together. Michael was sitting on the porch with a vape in his hand

"Finally" he says blowing out some smoke that had a bubble gum scent "I thought you two would never return"

"Sorry, we was just" I looked at her and smiled "busy"

"Hmm, seems to me you two have something to say" he says giving us knowing smile

"We're mates!" We said in unison

With a chuckle he walked toward us and gave us a hug " I had a feeling"

"What? How?"she asked

"When you two first met you just clicked, you could've already seen the bond that was beginning to grow between you two" he says returning to his seat

"If that's true, why didn't she see me as her mate before Aiden" I said taking Aria to the other two chairs and sat

"You was meant to be the second mate not the first, if Aria accepted the bond with Aiden, you would've had another mate"

"Guess I should thank him then" I chuckled "now if you will excuse us"

I picked up Aria bridal style and carried her to her room for a shower

"I could walk you know" she said sternly

"Nah, I prefer it this way" I said opening the door to her bedroom "go take a shower, I'll get clothes out for you"

She nodded her head and walked into the bathroom. I took out a blue washed out ripped jeans with a flannel shirt and black combat boots, I didn't want her to reveal to much skin.

20 minutes later she walked out of the bathroom with nothing but a towel. I looked at her head to toe, letting the lustful thoughts fill my brain.

"Adam!"she shouted

"Oh sorry babe, I'm gonna leave you to change"I said getting ready to leave

"No it's ok, you will eventually see me naked" she said with a smirk

I sat on her bed and looked at her while she changed (like a creep)

'May I say our mate has a beautiful body' my wolf Hudson commented

'She does, doesn't she' I said with a proud smile

'And you know what the best thing is?' He paused 'she is all ours'

'All mine'

"Hey! Heyyy!" My beautiful mate shouted waving her hand in front of my face. She looked like a bad ass in the clothes I picked out for her

"I'm sorry Dede"I said holding her hand gently

"Dede?"she said with a confused face

"Yeah, short for Diana"

"I don't think that's how it works" she giggled (music to my ears )

"I'll think of something" I shrugged "well I'm going to take a shower"

I got up from the bed and gave her a kiss on her forehead but before I could walk away she cupped my jaw and slammed her lips on mine then pulled away.
