WARNING: This character is suicidal, and does die. But don't worry. She's kind of a badass.
------------
April stood at the top of the tallest building in her town. She could barely see the street below through the carpet of clouds. She took a deep breath, remembering the happy things in her life while 'In The End' by the Black Veil Brides rang through her head. Depressingly, there were like 3 great memories, and they all lived - or, really, died - with her mother. April's face softened and for the first time in years the tears leaked through the mask. Her face hardened back into the facade before she chose to discard it and die as herself. She stepped onto the edge, and balanced on her tiptoes. With a banshee shriek of defiance, she catapulted herself off. For a second, she mentally complimented her frontflip. She recalled what her mother said as she died. I'm going to die. But don't be sad. I'll be watching over you. Just hold on.
As she fell, thoughts raced away from her and left her with the freedom of falling. She barely took in the dark street below, rushing closer with every second.
