Chapter 4

"Oh hey Colby, Sams in the basement."

"Thank you Mrs. G"

Sams mom smiled and continued cooking dinner. I told Sam I would go to his house. My parents were pissed that I got suspended, but I hardly get in trouble. They let me go to Sams, cause we practicality live together.

"Colby your face is on point today" Sam laughed.

"I know man. Hottest out there" my face was mildly swollen and my cheek had a scrape on it. No biggie.

"How's that girl Lauren" he winked.

"Bro I barely know her"

"She's practically a girl version of you. Don't ya think?" He grinned. I proceeded to whipped a pillow at him. Because why not.

"You know I'm right"

"She's pretty, and dresses nice. She's kind of shy, but outgoing. Ya Id say she's not out of the question." I half smiled. Sam winked and grinned.

"I thought you barely know her?"

"I think that maybe she had came into my life for a reason. I mean we are kinda the same. I don't know Sam. You are so annoying" I laughed.

"Sam it's dinner time. Colby your welcome to stay!" Sams mom yelled from upstairs.

"I better get home. But dude text me" I said walking upstairs.

"Thank you for inviting me!" I called to Sams mom.

Walking home at night is kind of scary. The street lights were barely lit, and there were no cars. I was walking in my drive way, when I saw that the house across the streets for sale sign said 'SOLD' in big bold layers.

I bet 100$ that Lauren's moved there. Probably. I mean she has been everywhere. I don't like like her, I just met her. We are kind of similar. But why can't that mean we be friends. I'd like to be her friend.

It's Thursday I have been in school for a couple of days. Spending my most valuable time playing Left For Dead. I haven't talked to Sam since Monday because he has been busy. Plus I'm really not in the mood. My Dad came home drunk last night. He was all crazy and shit. My Mom went in her room and put her head phones in and watched Grey's Anatomy.
