The Crosslands To The Pokemon World

From The Beginning I Pondered.

"Hey, Hey, Sap! Sap! SAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!" I screamed into the ears of my older sister. " I suppose I need to introduce myself don't I? Well, I'm Arya! I happen to be 14 years of age, and I love love love Pokemon! so does my big sis! Though I'm pretty sure I should bring myself back to reality at this point, otherwise i might get eaten by her. I'm almost certain she isn't very happy that I woke her up... ^-^; Eheheh...." "ARYAAAAAA!!! I'M GOING TO GET YOU!" Welp, that's my cue to leg it! I stumble backwards from my crouch, and get up to run, even though I am fully aware I'm not gonna get very far, my sis can run a LOT faster than I can, but I still try. I'm not ready to die from merciless tickling! I hear a crash  and a thud, so I assume she tripped over her blanket, but I ain't about to stop and check on her,  I am going to keep running. I run down the stairs, nearly tripping as I do so, and jumped down the last couple of steps. 'BECAUSE BY JOVE I DO NOT WANT TO BE CAUGHT BY THE TICKLING MONSTER THAT I JUST SO HAPPEN TO BE RELATED TO!' I make my way to the front door, pulling on my slip-ons as fast as I could possibly do so, without the speed being considered inhuman, I also grab my hoodie and my backpack, then stopped. Why? because I realize I can't hear Sap's footsteps... Welp. 
I decide to make a split second decision and run back through the house, to the kitchen, where I grab a couple of water bottles and  our lunches that are meant for later, because knowing us, this chase is gonna take all day. I also give my hoodie a pat making sure i had my inhaler... because leaving without it... good idea? yeah not so much.
"ARYA, WHERE ARE YOU CHILD?! I'M GONNA GET YOU!" 'ack'  and out the front door I sprint. 
I pull my phone out of my pocket, and open the WhatsApp app, and start texting Sap.
 Me:--Oi, you running yet? this is gonna be so much fun!-- 
Sap: --just grabbing our games, I assume you got our lunches?--
Me: --Yup! thanks for grabbing my game 2 ttyl--
With that clarified, i shove my phone back into  my pocket, and returned to running, but obviously not quick enough, seeing as i slam straight into someone. "Sorry lil' missy, didn't see you there! Where could you possibly be going at such speeds! you almost looked like you were running from a serial killer! hah!" apparently I had run into a man, about late 20's early 30's, and he had a funny looking hat on, but meh. He offers me a hand up, and I take it. He pulls me up and I dust myself off. "Sorry sir, I'm playing a game of tag with my big sis! I better get going before she catches me! Bye!" I say as I begin to run again, this time weaving my way in and out of the crowd. 'Well that was kinda odd.... he seemed kinda.. weird.... like... weirder than me! and that never happens! i wonder what that was abou-" I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket  *bzzt bzzt bzzt* I yank it out and answer it, seeing as it was from my sister. *click* "Hey Sap, waddup?" -"Arya, I need you to wait wherever you are for a minute an-"- 'Does she think I'm stupid?! If i wait for her, she'll catch up, and I'll end up being tickled to no end! Then again... she doesn't usually call me for nothing... better get out of my mental mantra with myself before someone thinks I'm insane, or I trip-'  *thud* -"Arya, What was that sound? Are you alright? Did you trip? Are you hurt? What's going on? Know what, don't move I'm almost there."-  Yeah.... ya know how I said I should stop before I tripped.... a little late. oops. "Sap, don't freak out, I only tripped, I'm fine! I swear! I swear!!!"  I try to sound as convincing as possible, even though I feel like I'mbeing trampled by the flow of people, many of whom seem to have failed to notice my body, sprawled across the sidewalk. -"You sure? You sound like you're being crushed! I'm almost there anywa-"- She wasn't kidding about almost being there. considering she tripped over me while she was saying that. *Thud* "Ow..." She manages to scramble to her feet pretty quickly, and tries to give me a hand up, even though I'm being trodden on left right and center! "Oh I give up!" I mutter, then I take a big breath and yell, "OI, PEOPLE! GET! OFF! OF! ME! AND! LET! ME! GET! UPPPP!!!" Well that's one way to get people's attention. "Ah! I'm so sorry little girl! I didn't see you, are you alright? You're not hurt are you?" I glanced up, to see a (presumably) nice lady, and I gave her a small smile, because now that people noticed they were smushing me, they have kindly gotten the heck off me and I can actually get up now! Yay! "I think I'm alright Ma'am, I don't think this trampling has hurt me much," I say that, as I pulled myself to my feet, and instantly roll my ankle, almost falling again, and Sap don't you dare think I can't see you rolling your eyes at me! I can see you! I can see you!!! Welp back to reality. "Ow! ...Lol only I would roll my ankle trying to get up. Pfft! ...Sap gimme a hand, I wanna make sure I didn't crush our lunches," I give a cheeky grin, and give my sis a hug, "Also sorry for tripping you, kek," She just gave me an exasperated look, before shaking her head and giving me a hug back. "No worries lil' sis... ya dafty!" She gave me a light, friendly punch to the shoulder, then I heard a soft giggle, and remembered that we were standing in the middle of a busy sidewalk, and the woman was still standing next to us, now giving us a sweet smile. "Ahhh... It's so nice to see siblings getting along nowadays... better than I ever have with my sister!" Then the woman started rattling on about how her and her sister never get on, and how she understood it's childish, but she can never bring herself to not argue. "Ma'am, if you don't mind, my sister and I shall keep moving, I hope you have an amazing day though! Ohand thank you so much for stopping to check if I was alright!" I say as I grab Sap's hand and start to drag her in the general direction of the park, where we always go when we have these little chases of ours. "It's alright deary, have a nice day you two!" With that, me and Sap started racing towards the park.   

A couple minutes later, I felt someone roughly grab my arm and yank me backwards. "Sa-" I went to call out for my sister, who had been slightly ahead of me, when a bus went rushing past my face, mere millimeters from where I would have been, had I not been stopped. I whipped my head round to see my friend, Erica, looking at me with a wild and panicked look in her eyes. "Arya! Jeez you nearly got yourself  killed! then what would i have done?! you idiot! be more careful will you?! ...I'll let you catch up with your sister, she was already across the street when i stopped you," Erica pretty much ranted at me, her grip getting that little bit firmer with every single word. she sighed and released me, motioning towards the pathway my sister took. "I'll call you tonight, kay?" We always do this, bump into each other in Town and then say we'll call, and we usually do! "Arya! Holy pokemon lord Arceus! Are you alright?! Why didn't that bus stop for the light?! It was red for him!" Sap came running across the street, pulling me into a hug, and patting my head awkwardly. "I'm fine Sap, i promise, now let's goooo we're like only 3 blocks away, so, we're almost there!" I grab her hand, and only after checking it was clear to cross, did I bolt across the road, dragging her behind me.  

It took us another 10 minutes or so,  cause I may or may not have gotten a little distracted.... moving on, when we got to the gates, I let go of Sap's hand and ran off ahead, trying to see if someone was in our favorite spot, and there was.... WAH! that's just fine! FINEEE! I stomp back over to Sap, who had been strolling along behind me, and grab her hand, before wandering into the deeply wooded are at the edge of the park. I stopped and slumped over against a tree stump, roughly shoving my backpack off my shoulders, and pulling it round to the front of me, so it's easier to rummage through. I then proceeded to unzip my bag, and pull out a sandwich, check the label, then hand it to Sap who had sat down next to me, and was rummaging through her shoulder bag. "Here!" We both said to each other simultaneously, as I handed her the food, and she handed me my DS. I pulled out my sandwich, and started eating it, and I also pulled open my device, and turned it on. I opened my save file, and I heard Sap do the same. As the music started spilling from the speakers in the gaming system, I heard something make an eerily unsettling crack behind me, and there was also a low humming sort of noise. "...S-Sap.... you hear that.... right? I-It's really creepy..." I said to her, as I re wrapped the remainder of my sandwich, shoving it into my bag, as well as snapping shut the lid of my DS and shoving that in there too. "Yeah, I did, I'm kinda intrigued, wanna go check it out?" She asked, putting away her things and slinging her bag over her shoulder and standing up. "c'mon!" she said as she grabbed my arm and pulled me up. We started walking further into the woods, with each step, my unease grew more and more. There was a snapping sound in front of us, and i squealed, and threw my body backwards, dragging Sap along with me, landing with a thud on the ground. Wait... solid ground doesn't sink... nor is it purple.... what?! "SAP! SAPPPP! WAH SAP! SAP WHAT'S HAPPENING?!" I started screaming at the top of my lungs, my brain unable to process what was going on, and I just want my sister now. "I don't know Arya, but there's gotta be a logical explanation for this. like.... um.... What the heck is that?!" I look up to see a weird.... floating... thing... SAY WHAT NOW?! WHAT THE HELL IS THAT AND WHY THE HELL IS IT FLOATING OF ALL THINGS?!!! IT LOOKS LIKE A BLOODY MEGA GENGAR! WHAAAAA?! I WANT TO STOP SINKING! I DON'T LIKE THIS! AHHHHH! "-a... -Rya.... -Arya! Calm down! Just breathe. Stop panicking... it's alright... whatever happens, we have each other, right?" Sap broke through my mental tyrant and gave me a mental slap to the face, one that got me to focus, took me back to reality. "Right, sorry sis," I gave her a determined smile, even though I am chest deep in this purple stuff, and sinking fast. I glared at the... thing, as it gave us sickening smiles, watching as we sunk into the purpley gunk. "Arya, if this is it, just know I am still annoyed that you deleted my first save file of my game. Oh and I love you," Sap said, as we sunk further into our probable abyss of a grave, only our heads above it now. "I know, and I'msorry sis, and I love you so so much and I don't wanna go yet... but if this is how it ends.... I'm glad I got to spend my time with you," We smiled at each other for what seemed like it was going to be the last time. With that smile, what I presume to be the black abyss of death encases both my mind and my body.

Hey guys, I am so sorry!!!! I know i haven't posted anything in a while, I've been kinda busy, and personal things have happened, but I'm back now! Yay! I'm kinda putting Mari's story on a bit of a backburner, as this is actually a collaboration of a sort. My friend, SaplingArcher on Discord gave me the idea, and is going to be helping me the entire time, even though i may be the one writing it, she's getting all the pokemon information for me, currently, to give my time to try and catch up on the Anime, which is kinda what we'll be following. to an extent. :3 Have a great day guys!!!
