Chapter 3: In Search of Healing

Everything was obvious at the moment. Scarlett needed to be saved at any cost.
"We need to help her ..." Isaac said worriedly with his hands on his head. He wore a black short-sleeved shirt, black leather pants, and a pair of gray sneakers.
"She's losing her breath!" But I know a way to save her. - Said Kira coming quickly toward us. "I need a copy of the bullet that was used to mix it with one of my herbs with the venom of the bullet, creating an antidote to heal the wound and neutralize the venom."
"That means we need to go after the hunter who shot Sarah." - Isaac said.
"I can help you with this because I know where Tommy lives." - Alec said.
"All right, but you have to go fast, we have up to three to save her, otherwise Scarlett will die. Kira warned.

John

"All right then, I'll go with you, Alec. - I said. "I will avenge my sister."
"I will, too, as reinforcement. - Isaac said.
"Where do you guys think you're going?" - Scott said leaving the room where Scarlett was.
"Kira said we need a copy of the bullet that struck Scarlett. - I said.
"Well, then I'll go with you. - Scott said.
"Then we must go soon, Scarlett does not have much time." Isaac said, seemingly concerned.
We went to the door of the building, and we left with Lydia's car.
"Do you really know where Tommy lives?" I asked Alec.
- Yeah, he lives in Brooklyn. Alec replied.
- Let's go then. - Scott said.

Scott

We came back to the corner of one of the streets of Brooklin, and Alec stopped and said,
- His house is the one with the red door. But there are people up there.
Then we ran back to the corner behind us and hid, peering at the people in front of Tommy's house. People dressed all black, Tommy's house had a small step leading to the door. Around the house and the lawn, there were low but effective fences.
"They must be hunters!" Whispered Isaac.
"Then we must go in the back, I know a way." - Alec said before crossing the street normally as if nothing had happened. And then we headed back.
Nearly reaching the other, John stopped and put his hands on his head and began to kneel.
"What's going on, John?" You're right I ask.
"He's turning Scott, you're the alpha, and you need to help him NOW." - Alec said.
Suddenly John began to growl like he was angry. I go to him and put my hands on his shoulders and say to calm him down.
"Calm down, we've all been through this, you have to control yourself.
"Like, I can not control myself. - John says.
"Guys, I think we've been noticed ..." Isaac said, peering at the hunters around the corner.
"John, there is a technique. There are three things that can not be hidden for long: The Sun, the Moon and the truth. Repeat that, and keep repeating. You can control yourself little by little. - I told him. "What are the three things that can not be hidden for long?"
"The sun, the moon, and the truth ..." John repeated as his claws began to fade slowly, and he suddenly repeated this phrase.
- We need to think of a plan. Alec said, seemingly concerned.
"I think they've already noticed our presence." - Isaac said. - We need the bullet.
"Somebody's gotta be the distraction." Alec thought.
- I will. John offered.
"You can barely control yourself or think. You can forget. - I said.
"She's my sister ..." John said.
- I'm sorry, John. - I insisted.
- I go! Isaac suggested. - I can handle the bullet.
"You'll have to put up with it." - I said.
- As well. - Alec said.
"The plan is to be hit by the bullet and hope it's the same one that struck Scarlett." I suggested.
- It's fine by me. Isaac insisted.
"No. I will feel very guilty if anything happens to anyone in the pack." - I said. "I'll go, and I'm right behind you."
- Right. John said and all the others agreed.
I walk out the corner and I'm at the sight of the hunters, including Tommy.
"I know you, alpha. - Tommy said. "Do you want revenge for what I did to your pack?"
- We will take revenge. - Alec said coming out of the corner, also in the sights of the hunters. "Do not think I'll give up your trust, my friend.
"You're a monster, so do not consider me a friend any more." - Tommy said pointing his gun at us. "You're not my old friend." - Tommy fires in my direction, and then quickly Isaac jumps and falls in front of me and gets shot in my place.
- No! Isaac did not. I say holding Isaac in my arms.
