"No I love you more," I giggled.
"I really don't think so," he smiled as we stood on my porch steps laughing back and forth.
"Oh I do," I told him.
"Nope. I love ten times more than you love me," he chuckled. I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and looked into his eyes as I stood on my tip toes.
"If you say so," I whispered and kissed him on the lips.
"Now go to bed," he said and I turned around to open the door when he smacked my butt. I whipped around and chased him around my yard as we laughed.
"Hey you two, keep it down out there," my dad yelled jokingly out of the window.
"Sorry Mr. Crandall!" Alan called back at him. My dad just shook his head chuckling and stuck his head back in his room. Alan stood up as he lent me a hand and I stood up brushing off my skirt. "Goodnight beautiful," he smiled.
I walked inside my house and shut my door as I called back, "Goodnight handsome."

"Oh Miss. Kaitlin!" I heard Alan yell from the bottom of the stairs.
"Oh Mr. Alan!" I called back.
"Hurry up! I'm hungry!" he whined. I wrapped the hair tie around the bottom of my braid for the last time and ran downstairs past Alan and out the door. He followed quickly behind.
"Buy daddy! Love you! Be home later!" I called quickly as I ran to Alan's truck, dragging him behind me. He opened the door for me and I hopped in. "So where are we going to eat?" I asked him putting on my seatbelt as he began to drive.
"It's a surprise," he smiled. Oh boy, what was he planning. We pulled into the parking lot along the lake and hopped out of his car. He went to the back of the truck and grabbed something.
"Alan," I whined. "I'm hungry. Why are we here?" He came up behind me and hugged me around my waist but there was a basket in his hand. "No way," I squealed.
"Way," he whispered and pulled me onto the grass.
We were laying on a blanket under a tree as I popped grapes into my mouth. Alan was my world, everything revolving around him. If my mother had been around to ask me whether I I would jump off a bridge with him, I would've said yes. I trust him too much. My father thinks were going to be together forever. I guess I think the same. We've only been together for a year but we haven't been away from each other for more than a few hours at night.
"What are you thinkin' about?" he asked me and I looked over at him and did a barrel roll into his arms.
"Oh nothing," I replied mischeviously. He tickled me in the stomach for a couple seconds and then smiled at me.
"Were you thinking about your mom?" he asked with pity in his eyes.
"Nope. I was just thinking about this really handsome guy. Tall with light brown, shaggy hair. Have you seen him around?" I said playfully.
"He wouldn't happen to have some fairly large muscles would he?" he questioned, flexing his bicep.
I acted surprised and said excitedly, "Oh my gosh you've seen him?"
He just chuckled and tucked a peice of hair behind my ear. He was sweet.
"I'm gonna miss you," I told him. He looked back at me confused.
"And where exactly am I planning on going?"
"Well you're not sleeping over at my house! My dad won't let you!" I yell sarcastically.
"You just can't resist me," he boasted, sticking out his chest as he balanced on his side. I pushed him over so he fell onto his back and ran to his truck, jumping into the driver's seat. i had snatched his keys from him and stuck them in the ignition. I began to drive away leaving him with his hand on his head, feeling defeated by his little sophmore girlfriend when he's going to be a Junior this school year. I was nice though and turned back around and took out the keys as I hopped out of the car. He ran up to me with anger in his eyes and swooped me up into his arms and spinning me as we began to laugh. When he sat me down I dangled his keys in front of his face and snatched them up and got in the truck. He began to start the truck and then slowly started driving forward but when I yelped and ran at the truck he stopped and laughed and I got in. We began to drive away when I ralized we were missing our picnic stuff.
"Umm... handsome?" I asked him.
"Yes beautiful?" he answered before taking a right turn toward his house.
"We left the picnic stuff," I told him trying to keep a straight face but somehow it just struck me as funny.
"What?" he said looking back into the pick- up part of the trunk. When I started giggling he looked back at me and said, "That's all right, all I need is you."
"But I wanted those grapes," I said jokingly, although I did really like those grapes. He looked at me and then behind the truck and then forward.
"You really want those grapes?" he asked seriously and I burst out laughing.
"No I'm just messing with you," I laughed and he grinned.
"You are just too darn adorable," he told me. When I'd finally stop laughing and it was quiet in the truck he whispered, "I really liked those grapes."
"Same here."
He looked at me and said, "Well why didn't you say so? I would've gone back and gotten them!"
"I didn't want to make you do that, besides. We can just go get more, right?"
"Most definately."

"Were they these?" Alan asked, holding up a bag of purple grapes.
"No. They were seedless. Those ones have seeds in them," i said and continued to go through the packages of grapes at the grocery store.
"Well how can you tell?" he asked, spinning the bag in his hands trying to find any word that would tell you they have seeds.
I pointed at the bag and underlined the word "seeds."
"Oh," he said and put the bag back and began searching again. I finally found some that looked like the right ones.
"Here we go," I said, smiling as I felt the feeling of great accomplishment. Who knew?
"Who knew looking for grapes would be so difficult," he said as we began to check out and I laughed.
"Who knew," I repeated.
"It's as crazy as I am for you," he said and grabbed my hand into his.
