"Father I just want to say thank you. For allowing me to have another opportunity to be a better person. I pray for spiritual growth father as I learn more about your word I pray you can give me the boldness to encourage others that the water is just fine in the Christian lifestyle. Show me the way to love and peace, and fill me with your Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus.Amen"
Shannon made we way to we vanity mirror where she looked at the crust engraved in her eyelids, the spit that must have been racing down her face now frozen in time and none the less told herself with out hesitation:
"You are beautiful, and they are beautiful but NEVER let them make you feel inferior"
That was something she had taught herself to say as much as possible to herself. After battling with self consciousness for her entire middle school life, Shannon knew what it was like to look at yourself and not see value. To hate yourself because you don't look a specific way but when she got saved her life changed for the better and he has tried her harder not to return back to that place. She's fell down multiple times but she always gets back up thanks to the grace of God. That's what really matters.
Shannon made her way to her closet where she chose out her light washed denim overalls that she had thrifted, then picked out a lime green tank top from her draw, and concluded it with a black pair of t.u.k creepers. Picking out her clothes first helped to make everything else flow the right way.
After breakfast and a shower, pieces we outfit together and did a simple makeup look that made her skin glow. Her hair was in two buns and a fringe, her favorite hairstyle.
She grabbed her iPod classic off the charger and headed out the door. She created a morning playlist that consisted of her favorite Jpop and mostly gospel music. Positive music helps to set your mind in the right place.
Arrival for school was always pretty early because the idea for Shannon was not only " the early bird catches the worm" but "the early bird gets a good seat"
All Shannon had thought about was Gregory's attitude yesterday. She prayed for him all last night and decided that she would try again today...
During passing she had passed by him and one of those two times he looks at her in her eyes and it wasn't all that angry.
When lunch came around Shannon didn't even sit at the table she normally did she went straight to the table she met Gregory at, and fortunately she got there before him. That gave her more time to think out a method to invite him to her church for a ceremony they had been having the coming Sunday and the Holy Spirit had been encouraging her to do so. The wort he could say is no, and if anything The Lord will move him if he needs to be moved.
Gregory soon arrived in the cafeteria and he immediately froze for a second when he saw that Shannon was already at his table.
Why is she here ? I thought I scared her off. She is quite persistent.
"Hi" Shannon uttered those words in an enthusiastic tone, with a smile that didn't involve her teeth
Gregory did a wave and ha a seat at the table
" let me ask you something... What do you think about God"
" I think he's vey overlooked. I believe that he exists but he makes it so hard for me because e never gives me any proof of it" Gregory uttered
Both parties were surprised at Gregory's elaborate response.
That is the most I've ever said to anyone in this school. Why do I feel compelled to respond to her?
Gregory could not understand wht was happening to him
" Well I believe. I've experienced him for myself. Do you go to church ?"
"No" Gregory said
"My church is having a youth service and I was-"
"I haven't been to church in years so what makes you think you can make me go?" Gregory interjected Shannon before she had a chance to finish
" Look I'm sorry for telling you that you deserve to be alone, I didn't mean it. Here the flyer to the event. If you're interested please show up. Thank you for your time" Shannon willingly walked away because she felt that her job for The Lord concluded itself at that point.
Gregory peered over at the flyer and saw that the even had in activities like games and crafts. He placed it in his back and finished off his studies for the day later going home..

Shannon's thoughts :
I wonder whether Gregory will take up my offer. I've done what I have to now I just wait on The Lord to move things in the way that their suppose to go.
---------------------------------------------
Gregory's thoughts:
She looked amazing today! Those overalls were so adorable. I dot know how he could be so forgiving an apologetic to a scum like me. Is almost as if God... That's it!! God is responsible for this. For her kindness towards me. Normal people don't just continue talking to someone who treats them horribly. I see God within her... I see hope for a better life. Perhaps with her.
-----------------------------------------------
Gregory raced down stairs to the couch where he picked up the bible that he through on the couch and started skimming through it. He looked in Genesis where it spoke of how God created the sun and the moon and that boggled Gregory's mind.. That's where he was lost because he read the bible from a logical perspective.... Nevertheless less he continued looking through the book until he grew tired and fell asleep.
