On a town located a few stations from Magnolia is Middlemist town, a village flourishing with joy and love. At this time of the year, the townspeople are busy doing last minute preparations for their annual festival. Leaving the train, Heather looks up from the map she's holding to take a look at the town.
"Huh, this place is pretty rich." Gray comments in awe while looking around.
"It sure is. Maybe that's why they hired wizards for the contest." Heather adds, but then a thought passes by as she observes the designs that were hung and decorated. "This festival looks more of a Valentine's festival than a real festival." She mutters, looking skeptically at every pink and red decorations and heart she sees.
Gray, who hasn't found the village weird, spots a huge crowd at the middle and motions towards it with his chin. "Hey, look at that."
Heather looks at where he was looking and sees the crowd in front of a building. "I think that's the town hall." Heather looks down at the map and nods once she's sure it is.
"Great, then let's go. That's where we're supposed to meet up with the mayor, right?"
"Yeah. We should go before they start the competition." Heather says and Gray nods in agreement before walking towards the town hall.
Arriving at the town hall, they noticed the insignia tattooed on different parts of the bodies of those that were gathered there, and concluded that all of the people in the crowd were wizards participating in the contest. Heather, who has been restlessly staring at every guild sign she sees frowns, and her hand wanders towards her right clavicle. Gray, noticing the sudden change of atmosphere beside him, looks at Heather and asks what was wrong.
"Sorry, I just felt like an outcast with our guild symbols hidden." Heather mutters with a sheepish look.
A sweat drops on the side of Gray's head, thinking that she was taking the presence of other guilds too provocatively. "I don't think you have to show it." He tries to liven the mood, but instead made Heather think of a way to solve her dilemma.
"No, they must know that we come from Fairy Tail--the guild that'll beat them." With that said, Heather uses her requip magic to change her clothes.
Heather's outfit changes to an all white outfit that consists of a sleeveless turtle neck shirt tucked inside folded shorts, knee-high boots, and fingerless gloves.
Gray, having Heather as a partner for the first time, jumps in shock at the sudden use of requip magic. He never had a clue about Heather's magic, except for the fact that she's an ice mage, too. "W-whoa, you use requip magic too!?" Gray shouts in shock, not expecting Heather to be able to use multiple kinds of magic.
"Well, I do, except I just use it for my scythe and maybe a change of clothes." Heather explains while looking down at her upper right chest. She smiles once she sees the insignia. "Much better."
The fact that Heather could use a different kind of magic piqued his interest and decided to ask more about the kind of magic she ca use. "I see. Do you use magic other than Ice Morph?" Gray asks. Heather looks up at him and nods.
"Although it's magic that is unfamiliar to you, I do." Mentioning that brought memories back and subconsciously, she looks down.
"That's amazing. Just as expected of an S-class mage like you, huh?" Gray grins as he compliments Heather with a pat on the head. Heather snaps out of her daze and a light blush appears while she shakes her head.
"It's nothing, you know, but I think I still lack in power to be seen in the same level as Erza and Laxus-nii. Look at what happened a few days before." Heather chuckles while she shakes her head in disbelief. "I bet if that was Erza, she'd still be fine and fighting."
