'Life is not fair'; this is a fact of life. But, we all feel like we deserve our share of happiness. We all want to feel contentment but as one gets older, one realises that nobody can give this to you. Life will always offer challenges and hurdles that we will have to overcome, often at the expense of our emotions and overall welfare. We will get some of our deepest wounds from the people we least expect them from, from the people we consider family or friends, from the people who we think should contribute to our happiness.
Our definitions of love differ and so we can never really find exactly what we want. Our definitions of love are governed by our overall views on society and its ways; and because no one views these exactly the same, no one loves exactly the same either.
I am a young woman living in this cruel world, weighed down by conflicting theories, expectations and desires. Sometimes I feel so strong I soar above it all and fight towards my goals; but sometimes I feel so weak I almost give up. Will I be able to sustain the pressure for much longer?
My name is Eden-Lily, shortened Denny, and this is my story.
