Prologue.
The boxes were piled high in the boot of my brother's car, blocking the back window and blocking the view of our old house. A house that held so many memories and everything I had ever known.

I sighed as I looked out the side window, my forehead resting against the cold glass.

"Cheer up," my brother, Theo chirped from beside me, his focus on the long journey a head of us. "We will be there before you know it and the new house is way better than this one anyway."

I nodded slowly in agreement.

My dad had been given a job promotion which meant that we all had to move so that he could be closer to the head office of the company. It was a good opportunity, one that my dad could not miss out on. It came at a good time as it was coming to the end of the summer holidays which my parents thought that it was the perfect time to move us as it wasn't mid-way through a school term.

"I just don't want to start a new school. I like my friends here." I groaned, leaning back and closing my eyes.

I didn't have many friends but the few friends I did have were very special to me. Theo had it easy; he was always the social butterfly with a large group of friends and had no trouble making new ones.

"If you dropped the permanent frown on your face then maybe you will be able to make friends at our new school." He teased.

I leant over a punched the top of his arm, hard.

"Oi," he exclaimed, rubbing the spot as if I had caused some serious damage. "Do not distract the driver!"

"Shut up then." I hissed. My eyes focusing on the loaded up car in front of us that our parents drove to our new home.

"It'll be fine Evelyn, just you wait and see! This'll be a good move for us." He encouraged, in a much softer tone.

Then why did I have such a bad feeling?
