Chapter 4

Alexa's pov

It's been a few months. I've grown into my powers and Dean and I are great. Sam and Rebekah have gotten close. I don't think Nik minds because he knows not only can she take care of her self but Sam can also protect her. Elijah is back and he's sweet. He and I met with the witch and she helped me gain control of my powers. Dean and I always sneak off to my hidden cabin and let me tell you. It's amazing spending time alone with him. Anyways I was arguing with Nik at the moment because he said I need to see a doctor because I haven't be feeling good.

"I don't do hospitals! I'm not going." I snapped and he groaned.

"Alex you haven't felt good for almost a  week. Why can't you just go see a doctor!" He sighed and I looked at him.

"The last time she was at a hospital it was because of her dad. They did nothing. That's why she hates them." Sammy said and Nik looked at me.

"Who is your father?" He asked confused.

"John Gilbert." I grumbled in distaste as I ate my bacon burger Rebekah got me.

"Wait Elena's dad?" Rebekah asked and I nodded.

"And why did he cause you to go to the hospital?" Hayley asked softly rubbing her stomach.

"He abused me. I went in because he broke 3 of my ribs and it was hard to breathe so his one night stand brought me there begging me to tell the cops what he did. In the end they didn't believe me because John was a good man in the public's eye." I said and they frowned.

"You were abused?" Nik asked and I nodded.

"From the age of 6 to the age of 18. I ran the second my Standford acceptance came in. That's how I met Sammy, he was my roommate. Him and I became best friends and he protected me. Than I met Dean who broke into our dorm room. I may have hit him with my bat for scaring the hell out of me." I said munching on my fries.

"Why did he break in?" Elijah asked with a chuckle.

"Because I always locked our door. I had been up late working on a thesis paper for my class. Sam woke up when I shrieked and he fell from being hit by my bat. Sam told me all about their family when I found his weapons when I was cleaning. And when Dean said their dad was missing  after going on a hunt I immediately forced Sam to help Dean go look in Jericho, California. When they came back our dorm was on fire and I was scared out of my mind because my best friend died and I seen the whole thing. They took me with them. I got close with Dean and they trained me at their uncles. That was 2 years ago." I said and Sam looked down. I reached over and squeezed his hand. Dean stole a fry.

"I want pie." I pouted making Dean and Sam laugh.

"I put it in the fridge." Rebekah said and I jumped up and went to the kitchen. They all followed. Dean and I shared the pie. It was cherry too.

"You two are so alike." Nik laughed and I smiled.

"We have to go to South Dakota soon." I said and they looked confused.

"Bobby is like my dad. I miss him." I said and they smiled.

"That's fine." Elijah said understanding why I wanted to go.

"I'm gonna stay." Sam said and I nodded when I saw him looking at Rebekah.

"Will you please see a doctor though. It will put my mind at ease, Alex." Nik said and I sighed.

"Fine but you and Dean have to come with." I bargained and they both nodded.

"I'll make you an appointment." Rebekah said and I nodded as she left the room. I leaned into Dean and sighed.
