CHAPTER FOUR

Xepher's P.O.V

"Ugh." I groaned out blocking my eyes from the sun shining in my room. I should really get some curtains today. I slowly got up confusion written all over my face because the last thing I remember is falling asleep on the couch downstairs. I soon came to a realization that Kian must've carried me up here.

I walked into my bathroom and undressed myself getting into the shower. I got out about twenty minutes later, brushed my teeth and did my morning routine. I changed into my outfit, I kept it cute but simple since I'm only going to go shopping for decorations and stuff. I brushed my hair and left down to air dry.

I walked to Kian's room and quietly knocked on his door in case he was asleep. I heard no response then all of a sudden I hear a voice.

"Looking for me?" Kian laughed as I slammed into the wall from the fright. He had came out from the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. I tried hard not to blush as I looked down.

"I was just going to ask you if you wanted any breakfast." I smiled at him. "Actually, do you have any plans for today?" He asked scratching the back of his neck with one hand while the other is holding his towel up. "Well I was going to make us breakfast then I was going to go shopping for decorations for my room." He nodded, "Well if you wanna, we can go out and eat then go to the mall if you want?" I nodded at him with a smile, "Sure, you should probably get changed too." His cheeks turned a rosy color as I laughed and walked away.

I'm glad he suggested we go together because my car still needs to be shipped here, I think it gets here tomorrow.

Today is Friday and on Monday I have my first photo shoot, it's for a small company but I'm still going to get a lot of money.

It's not my first time, I used to model when I was 16 but I stopped when I was 18 because the hate was getting too much and it was too much stress especially with school. I tried going to college but it didn't work out, we didn't have enough money because my mom still needed to pay for our house and my little brother. I decided it was best I didn't go and tried my modeling career again. I used the money I had saved up for emergency and college and used it to move out here and buy this huge house. Now, I know what your thinking, why would she want a big house for herself? Well, I thought it was really nice and didn't cost too much money which I thought was weird but now I know why, since of course my roommate payed the other half. Anyways I hope I am able to get a good career out of this and make more money to also help my mom out. Of course I felt bad for leaving my mom alone with my ten year old brother but when I get enough money, I'm going to fly them out to live here in L.A too. I also have an older brother but he already has his own family.

"You ready to go?" asked Kian. Startling me yet again. "Yeah, you know you should really stop scaring the crap out of me." I told him as we walked out the house to his car. He laughed, "Well I'm sorry you get scared so easily." I just rolled my eyes at him.

We got in the car and I asked him where we were going to eat since he knows his way around here. "I don't know do you want Mexican food, I really love that by the way, or do you want iHob?" He asked and I laughed. "First of all really, iHob? And second if you really love Mexican food, I could've made us a really great Mexican breakfast, it's all in my blood after all." He nodded, "True but we still don't have groceries so you wouldn't be able to cook so we should go buy groceries today too." "Okay, yeah I forgot we don't have any food at home." I facepalmed. We eventually agreed on iHop, I don't like calling it iHob.

We went inside and sat at a table. The waiter came and asked what we wanted. I ordered a chocolate milkshake while he order a coke. Later, the waiter came back and asked what we wanted to order, "Can I get an order of chicken and waffles please?" We both said at the same time, we looked at each other and laughed. "So two chicken and waffles?" asked the waiter. I nodded at him and said thank you.

"So what makes you want to buy more decorations, by the way I like how you put up pictures of yourself in the house." I shook my head embarrassed. "I'm sorry, I thought I was living alone, I'll take them down if you want?" I suggested, he shook his head saying that I looked great in them. I thanked him and drank some of my milkshake.

"Anyways, I feel like my room looks too boring and plus I need to buy more art supplies." I told him. He looked at me surprised, "You like art too? Do you paint or draw?" I smiled at him, "I actually do both." He nodded, "I also like to paint and draw, so I guess we have something in common," he smiled at me, "So what other talent do you have other than art and modeling?" He asked. "I sing a little too, I guess considering Mexican parties are all about dancing, singing, and eating, I'm pretty good at all of that." I said. He leaned in a little and said, "Well I'll let you in on a little secret, I actually do a little bit of singing too." We both laughed together and I asked him what other thing he does with his life.

"I'm actually a working actor and a youtube influencer, I have a channel with my best friend, Jc Caylen." He said. "That's pretty great I'll make sure to check out the channel soon, so what have you been on?" I asked him as the food arrived. "Well I've been on things like Zac and Mia, Before I Fall, The Chosen, and a bunch of other stuff." My eyes widened, "No way! No wonder you looked so familiar, you played Zac!" I exclaimed with excitement. "You do have a really great voice but I was so emotional watching that show, I cried so much." I laughed.

We soon finished our food and we both pulled out our money. We stared at each other for about a minute until I suggested we split the bill.

We walked into the mall as I went to go look for some decorations, I hoped this wouldn't last long.

I had went by myself to go look for some things while Kian went to go get some shoes, we agreed to meet when we were done to leave.

I ended up buying some cute quotes to hang on my wall, a royal blue fluffy carpet, and a few blank canvases along with some paints, pencils, and brushes. I decided I would paint somethings to hang on my walls.
I was about to text Kian that I was done but saw that he was taking a picture with whom I assume was a fan. I smiled as I saw him high five a little boy, then I walked up to him when he was done.

"So, are you ready to go? Or do you still want to shop?" I scared Kian like he did to me. I laughed at him. "Haha. Your so funny," he laughed sarcastically while I laughed, "and yes I am done I was about to text you but a fan wanted a photo." I nodded, "Yeah I saw you, you seem to like kids." I looked at him. "Yeah, they are pretty fun to be around." He said smiling.

We reached home and I went straight to decorating my room. I was so focused I didn't realize Kian had left and returned with groceries. I found out as soon as I went downstairs to chill for a bit.

"Hey, why didn't you tell me you were going grocery shopping? I could've helped."  I asked him, feeling guilty for not helping him out. "It's fine, I saw you were focused with your room and I didn't want to bother you." He shrugged. I just continued to help him out away everything.

When we finished, we went to the couch and talked about life for a while and I told him about my early modeling and about how I couldn't go to college so I could help my mom out. He was very nice about everything, which I was happy with that.

We soon said goodnight to each other and I went up to my room. I looked at the time and realized we were talking for quite some time. It was one in the morning, I sighed realizing I forgot to buy my curtains, I guess I'll buy some tomorrow I thought as I got on my bed. I hugged my pillow and drifted off to sleep with a smile on my face.
