Blue eyes pulls up to my apartment building and we get out. Lunch was good, went without hitches. I know with this move I have to tell Kay the whole truth about my family, but I'd do anything to keep her safe and staying with a bunch of wolves seems safe enough to me. We walk into my apartment and my bags are still where I left them by the door. I look up to see a pissed Kayla with Bry standing behind her.
"What the fuck Jade!" she yells, "were you just going to skip town without saying shit?"
"I know I'm sorry. I would've said something from the road. You know I'm shit at goodbyes."
"I thought we were closer than that shit or is eight years of friendship shit?"
"Hey calm down" Bry says calmly into her ear.
"I'm sorry but now I'm not going anywhere and we're moving."
"Moving to where bitch?"
"I'll explain there but can you just start packing, we don't have much time."
She eyes me for a minute before nodding and walking to her room with Bry following. That's how I know Kay really down for me because she's just ready to bounce with me without any extra bullshit. Bitches ain't really bout shit like that. I glance at blue eyes before going to my best friend's room.
"I'll be out there" Bry says once I walk in the room.
"Thanks" I say closing the door behind him.
"Is this about your family?" Kay asks still packing.
"How'd you know?" I ask starting to pack as well.
She scoffs, "c'mon Jade I've known you for years and you always act crazy when your family is mentioned. Not to mention you told me it wasn't the best so you left. So what's really up?"
I exhale before telling her the whole story about my time in Chicago. She's my best friend she deserves to know the whole truth. I'm practically asking her to trust my new dude with her fucking life. She needs to know what we're up against. I manage to hold it slightly together telling her my life story, though the same couldn't be said for her. Girl cried so much she could barely pack. After I answered her questions we moved on to safer topics like blue eyes and Bry. She told me they are still feeling each other out but she fucks with him. I couldn't be happier for my sis especially after what 'ol fuck boy did to her. She needs someone like Bry. Once we're done packing we take the bags out to Bry's car seeing him and blue eyes talking at his car. Oh fuck me. I walk over to them with Kay following.
"What's going on here?" I ask eyeing him.
"Just talking" blue eyes says pulling me into him.
"Yeah getting to know one another" Bry adds pulling Kay into his side placing a kiss to her temple with a smile.
Blue eyes chuckles with a nod as I eye both of them, "Yeah okay, y'all going to get the bags or we got to do all the shit?"
"Got it" they walk into our complex and I look at Kay.
"Whole pissing test bitch" she laughs.
"Childish as fuck" I shake my head. We watch as they load Bry's car with all of Kay's things. When they're done we get in the cars with blue eyes leading. "So what was that?" I ask looking at him.
He glances at me, "nothing babe."
I scoff, "I call bullshit, be real tell me what's up."
"We just had a conversation about where we stand with our ladies. That's all Jade so watch ya mouth."
