The Love Triangle

Introduction

Today is the day. My first day of college. I had been dreading this day ever since the beginning of time. I'm very excited to see my best friend Joshua. I mean although we have been talking and spending most of the Summer with each other I still miss him, because we haven't seen eachother in about a week. On the other hand, I am very nervous. I have had a crazy huge crush on this guy Hansol Chwe, or Vernon which was what his close friends called him, since 3rd grade. I already know that seeing him will make my heart sink in my chest, and sweat like crazy. He's always been very popular with the girls. I knew that I had absolutely no chance with him. I mean he's so popular, and I'm known as "Joshua's best friend" to most people. I used to get bullied a lot, but Joshua and my brother scared away the bullies when we were in 12th grade, so at least I don't have to worry about that.

For the most part I think that I live a fairly simple life. Except for the part that my best friend, crush, and twin brother are from this crazy popular boy band Seventeen. Their music is amazing, and the members (for the most part) are very kind. I love their group. Sometimes we hang out, but because there are so many of them, I'm not very close with Vernon. He is actually sadly the member of Seventeen who I'm the least close with. My brother is Lee Seokmin, and he teases me a lot. Actually, he is my twin brother. My nickname for him is DK. I've been very close with him as well since we were born. Him, and Joshua have always been there for me, even when no one else was.

Our parents have always been very cruel people to me. They absolutely despised me, because I was a girl, and they had never wanted a girl. When I had just turned 13 they had kicked me out of the house. Seokmin wasn't having that. He wouldn't just let me go out by myself alone like that, so he came along with me. After a day or two we finally arrived at our grandmother's house, and she said she would take care of us until we went to college. That is also one of the reasons I don't want to go into college. I'll really miss her. We haven't said a word to our parents since that day. We don't know where they are, what they're doing, or anything about them anymore, and we like it that way.

My main language is Korean, but I'm also very good at speaking English, because Joshua taught me how to. It took a long while to learn, but eventually I could talk for hours in English. Most of the people in our school speak Korean, but I think that it's really cool to learn a new language, especially with the help of your best friend. Most of Seventeen takes an English class, but because Vernon, Joshua, and I are very good at speaking in English we take a Chinese language class. The 3 of us actually have the same Chinese class together.
