Chapter 2

I turn around to see the guy with a gun in his hand looking around and then his eyes land on me, then another guy shows up behind him, I can tell they're both guys by their stocky build I sit crouched by Roses bed and then the first one speaks. " Where is he?" "Where is who I'm home alone so I dont know what you mean" Where the fuck is Jake Rowan. " "I'm sorry but I don't know who that is" I say as calm as possible but I'm slightly shaking. Then he pulls out a gun and shoots the roof. Fuck Rose is still in here please dont look around. " I will fucking shoot you, I'm not dumb you're in his house so where is he."

Jake's POV

Im in my office when I get a call from Skyler. I answer immediately and when i answer she sounds fine but then she tell me that there's someone in the house and they're coming up the stairs, then she tells me that that she has locked the door and moved the dresser to block it. I tell her that im on my way and to stay on the phone so I can hear. This is bad Skyler and my baby girl are in trouble and I need to get home fast. I run out of my office and tell Aaron to take care of the office. I hop in my car and speed off to my house and when I get there I see a van that's empty. I sneak into the house to hear a man yelling at Skyler asking where I am but all I hear is her mumble something as I charge up the stairs with my gun in my waistband I barge in the room and look at Skyler on the ground but I don't see Rose. Where the fuck is she? The guys that are in here turn to look at me and I raise my hands and press the button on  my belt loop to alert the guys im going to need back up and I need it now. "Let her go." I say in a calm voice. "Heyyyyy we've been looking for you" One of the dudes laughs "That doesn't matter let her go." I say again. The front guy pulls out a gun and points it at me but then turns towards Skyler. I look at her and see she looks calm, now im just beyond surprised. What has she been through to not be scared of a gun pointed at her. He turned towards me and said "Would you like to say anything to your girlfriend before she dies". I smirked "Yea, you're safe." And just as I said that I grab my gun from my waist and shoot both of them in the skull while smiling. The clean up crew comes in and cleans up the bodies as I walk to Skyler. She stands up slightly shaking. I grab her arms and rub them " Where's Rose?" She turns and points towards the closet. I walk towards it and open the door to see my bundle of joy buried under clothes in a corner. I reach and pull on a piece of clothing but she only grab it tighter. "Rose, baby it's me daddy" I say soothingly. "DADDY" she screams while crying I hug her so tight never wanting to let go, the fear of something happening to her gets to me. I stand up with her in my arms and turn to Skyler to see her rubbing her hands. I open my other arm that's not holding Rose to invite her in on the hug. She walks to me and wraps her arms around my waist, burying her head in my chest. "Im so sorry girls that you had to deal with this, I think its time we go and pack because I dont want us living here anymore, but luckily I have a house in Vegas so we're going to move there." I state. "Ok but why would someone want to come here?" She questions "Ill tell you that when we start packing im going to meet you in my room." "Ok."

Skylers POV

Im in Jakes room after after helping princess pack her things. Im just sitting on the bed cross legged when Jake comes in looking nervous. "Hey." "Hey." "Look Skyler im going to tell you someyhing but before I do you have to promise not to leave me and Rose."I hesitated for a bit. "Um i promise." "Im a gangleader." "Ok I can protect Rose since i have these." I say then lift my bag to show him my gun and knife. "Wait why do you have those and when you had them why didnt you use them?!" "I didnt use them because Rose was with me and I didnt want to scare her anymore than she already was plus I was still trying to calm down." "Ok but why aren't you scared that im in a gang and why weren't you scared when the dude had a gun pointed at you?" "Im not scared bc my brother was in one before and I wasnt scared then bc that wasn't my first time having a gun pointed at me so I wasnt really scared about it just nervous."

Jake POV

Ok I was not expecting that but its ok that means my girl wo- wait did i just call her my girl i think im going crazy i cant be calling her that shes my daughters babysitter not my girlfriend but anyway at least she wont leave. "Ok welll lets pack and get ready to leave.
