A Rainbows Love

Chapter 1

*RIIING* The sound of the school bell sounds throughout Canterlot High, signaling the end of the day. And thank god it was a Friday! I packed my backpack and headed outside while avoiding the swarm of students that flooded the hallways. I made it outside and waited by the end of the stairs for a certain group of girls. After a minute, the last group to come out is the one I was waiting for. I call them the Rainbooms despite that only being their band group name. They wave at me with a smile on their face although a familiar rainbow-haired girl avoids eye contact again. I sigh slightly but keep my composure as Pinkie Pie begins squeezing the life out of me. 

"Ungh..Pinkie... why do you a-always have to hug me?.." I strain my voice. She continues hugging me with a smile.

 "Because its been so long since I've seen you today!" she replies before finally letting go. I regain my composure and give her a confused look.

"6 hours isn't even that long. Plus, we see each other during lunch everyday." I reply. 

She thinks about it and lets out a 15 second "Ooooooh! I forgot!" I could've sworn that I saw Rainbow Dash giving a strong glare at Pinkie when she was hugging me but I brush it off. Twilight steps in.

"So what are you girls planning on doing this weekend?" she asks everyone. 

"I have some new fashion design ideas I wanna try out" Rarity said.

"Doing mah daily chores around the farm." Applejack added.

"I'm gonna be helping out the towns animal shelter." Fluttershy spoke softly.

The others spoke about their plans from baking to just doing day-by-day stuff. All expect for Rainbow who still avoiding looking at me. This has been happening for about 2 weeks and even her friends are concerned. We all began to say our goodbyes but right before I could leave, Sunset stopped me. 

"Can you try and figure out whats wrong with Rainbow Dash? I'm starting to get worried." she told me.

"Wait, why are you asking me only?" I ask her. Everyone else is concerned for her but Sunset wants me in particular to figure it out.

"Well because..... you're both really close. Even closer then she is to our friends, despite you both only knowing each other for a few months." she tells me. I sigh and nod.

"I'll think of something." I assure her with a thumbs up. She smiles and waves goodbye as she heads home. I begin walking home and think about Rainbow Dash and the times we've spent together. I was the new kid at Canterlot High and one of the Rainbooms had volunteered to show me around the new school. And sure enough, Rainbow Dash was the one to show me the ins-and-outs of the place. I was rather quiet at first but I began to open up and learn that she is a sports lover and lead vocals of the Rainbooms rock band. She showed me her friends who I clicked with instantly and now consider my best friends at the school. Me and Rainbow however had a stronger bond then the others and it made us nearly inseparable. Playing dodge-ball together, gaming, workouts, you name it. So now seeing how she is refusing to even look at me makes me think I did something wrong. The closest thing to being mean I've done were a few pranks but even those were in good fun. I just wish I knew how I coul-... WHAM! I was too focused on my thoughts that I didn't even notice the stop sign I walked into. "Ow.." I groan. I'm gonna feel this all night. I arrive at my house and grab the spare key from under the mat. I unlock the door and place the key back in its hiding spot. "Mom! Dad! I'm home!" I shout. No response. Before I begin searching for them, I see a note on the counter in my moms handwriting. 

We left to spend our anniversary out of town at a nice hotel. Be back in a week! Also, you're in charge of getting to school on time and any chores that need to be done. There is also $60 on the fridge in case you want to order pizza. Love, Mom.

"Nice!" I said, spotting the cash on top of the fridge. Suddenly, an idea pops into my head. "I think I found a way to get Rainbow to confess whats been bugging her lately." I pump my fist and pull out my phone. I spot Rainbow Dash under the "Contacts" tab and press the call button....

Ok so, I was in an Equestria Girls mood since I binge watched all 4 movies in a row yesterday along with some shorts. So I just had to put out this story because these EQG ideas just come and if I don't type them out then they're gone for good. This is gonna be a 2-chapter story so the 2nd one is gonna be very long possibly. This will be my first published EQG story ever so don't expect a masterpiece. Anyways, next chapter coming soon.
