School, to me it's like a highway at night. So many bright colors flashing in my face I could get a seizure, and so many people it's impossible to get where you need to go, on time at least. But when I do get to class I prefer to be early. It's fun watching all the different colors flooding in, though granted it's mostly green with a few yellows.

Anyways I finally got a chance to get to class early since it was right down the hall from my previous one. I flopped in my chair, tossed my stuff under the desk, and sat back, watching all the beautiful colors. English was my favorite class, it was two periods long and had the most verity of colors to gaze upon. I sat in the back so it was easy to spot everyone the entire time. As people filled in it was as usual mostly greens and like most had it's fair share of yellows but what made this class so special was the amount of reds it had.7 wonderous ruby red auras but I looked over to the door as a darker shade than I was used to caught my eye. It was Timothy. He had been a red since I had known the guy but he was darker today. Guess depression is finally taking the toll on the poor guy, but what I didn't expect was when the class was mostly settled down the little prick of a prep who had bullied the whole school all semester Brittany Bernstient was a shocking highlighter yellow. For once in that little greenie's life she was a cheerful shade of death. I guess I had one of those stupid cartoony grins on my face cuz I was snapped out of my happy glow by a familiar snarky voice.

"What're you so happy about?"

"Huh?" I replied, with a dumbfounded little face

"You had the biggest fucking smile while staring at the know it all little brat Brittany, I don't get it."

"I was just uh... daydreaming! Anyway.... What are you doing here? Last time I checked there's no Vanessa Mc Asshole in my English class."

"Haha very funny dip shit, but they changed my schedule so now I'm in you're block."

"Nice!" I said high fivin' Vanessa

"Give me a minute Layla, I'm gonna ho put my stuff at my desk." She said walking across the room to the previously vacant seat in the back on the other side of the room.

Vanessa was my bestest friend in the whole world, even though we were exact opposites. I always wore jeans and baggy sweatshirts like the slob I am while she always wore short shorts with a tight ass slutty t-shirt. Her hair was typically in a messy tangled bun and she had caked on make up with WAY too much eyeliner. Even if she looked like she was straight out of a high school porn movie, I loved her and luckily her aura was as green as her emerald eyes so I could tell I'd have her around for a while. But something seemed a bit off today. I froze................ Her aura was faded orange!

Please say I just stared into the sun for too long dammit!
