I broke down onto the floor screaming and crying at the top of my lungs. I finally opened my eyes to look at the dead Zoe next to me.

Only Zoe was alive, i looked up to see her, eyes wide open in a shocked expression as she was leant against the wall. My jaw flew open. And I ran towards her crying. We cried in each overs arms for a few minutes.

Then she started laughing.

"You thought it was me in the floor" She said smiling a little."You hit that bastard in the head with a brick just before he was about to get me, i thought I was dead"

We hugged some more. Terry was still breathing on the floor. He was going to be alright. We ran from the flat past some neighbours dressed on scruffy clothes who were crowded around outside wondering what had happened. We climbed into the car and drove for 2 hours. I stopped at McDonald's and then we fell asleep in the car in a random deserted car park.

Zoe's POV

"LA" I said when we were back on the road in the morning."Who's that guy you know here? You know the one you went to college with?".

"Jacob?" Millie replied.

We'd both talked about moving to LA one day, ever since we were young. And we'd made up our minds. We could find a place here. We both had some money and we could easily get some sort of job. We both went to good colleges and have good qualifications.

Millie's POV

We ended up parking outside Jacob Whitesides house. I'd stayed there a few months ago for his birthday so i knew where it was. Jacob answered the door topless wearing just a pair of shorts. He had messy hair and was holding a slice of pizza.

"Millie!" He said loudly as he pulled me into a tight friendly hug."And friend" He smiled at Zoe an nodded shyly. He always has been shy with strangers, until he gets to know them.

"Come in" He said grabbing my hand with one hand as he finished his slice of pizza with the other.

He lead us to the lounge and we all sat down on the sofa's.

"I didn't know you were coming to LA?" He questioned me.

"Well we didn't know either until just a while ago..." And then i explained everything. About Taylor and Terry and by the time i was finished Jacob had me and Zoe in a big hug.

"Stay here, both of you" He offered," I only have one spare room but you can share it" He smiled.

We agreed to stay until we had a place of our own. After unpacking slightly Zoe and I decided to explore the area on foot. We had a look into various estate agent windows for affordable flats but none of them seemed in our price range. It was so frustrating to see all these expensive and gorgeous flats that were so out of reach.

We both slipped our cv's into various local shops that we could work out as we went.

1 week later

Today was the day of an Auction in town. They Auction off everything from Houses to Cars etc. We arrived early ad eager as we wanted to get a nice flat today. We sat at the front with thirty minutes till it begins we flipped through the booklet that had details about all the items for sale that day.

We had a look through. Most were plain and needed a lot of work to be done. We decided that as they were cheap we would have to money to afford to get it done up. There were a few that we liked but one was in the main town, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom a lounge and reasonable kitchen area. It was a studio flat with a large hallway above a cafe. It was so nice and we had so many ideas of what we could do with it. It was a good size for us and affordable as well. It was like a dream. The turnout was small at the Auction and we were confident about getting it.

"Lets start this bidding off with 100,000 for this beautiful studio flat that is in need of a full replenishment. We raised our hands eagerly. Along with another person. A guy with thick brown hair with a blonde highlight. I raised one eyebrow at him. Hell no.

"120,000" the auctioneer raised it We kept our sign up looking at the guy as if to say give up. He winked as he raised his again.

He grinned a few moment later as i made a gesture across my neck as of to say stop or your dead.

"180,000" The boy bit his lip as he lowered his sign. We kept ours up grinning happily.

"Going once, going twice... for 180,000 sold to the two lady's at the front"

We cheered and high fives before hugging each over squealing. We made our way over to the back of the room to finalise everything. I made eye contact with the guy from earlier as he made his way towards us when we finished.

"Heyyy" He said extending the y sound.

I looked up at him to meet his dashing blue eyes that had me taken aback.

"Hey" Zoe stepped in saving me.

"Well you won that one so i say you two invite me over some time just so i won't feel as sad" He grinned a gorgeous smile that reached his eyes.

It instantly made me smile.

"We'll probably have a housewarming party or something when we've redecorated" I said.

"Awesome i cant wait for my invite" He winked making me blush"Im Nash by the way"

We all exchanged numbers and then we said goodbye.

"Heyy heyy got a new home and you've pulled" Zoe laughed.

"Noo he liked you" I said confidently.

"Nahh girl he hardly even glanced at me, he only had eyes for youuuuu" She made kissy noises that annoyed the hell out of me as we made out way back to my car.

And she wouldn't shut up about it when we got back to Jacobs either.
