My First Love

My First Love ~ Chapter One

will be re-written at some point! 

I had fallen in love once, with a man who doesn't love me back. I remmeber the first day I laid eyes on Samuel Lockwood. It didn't matter to me that I was just a thirteen year old girl whereas he was nineteen and clearly seeing other girls his own age, but I knew I was in love with him, what I didn't know was that when I turned eighteen I was to marry the handsome twenty-four year old man.

"I must leave, you don't understand! I can't stay another minute in this house with that man!" I furiously told my good friend Beatrix as I tried to pack my belongings, only for her to stop me and look at me as if I was mad. 

"How can you just leave your husband?" she asked me.

I looked down not meeting her gaze at first, "He does not love me, he prefers to be in the company of other women that are not his wife" I whispered, tears slowly falling down my cheeks as I thought about the man I was in love with but didn't want me back. I heard Beatrix gasp making me look up at her, "I have to leave...tonight" I whispered pleadingly to her to let me go and leave the man I will always love but can't have.

I sat in the carriage as I was on my way to the train station, "I'm going to miss you" Beatrix whispered. I smiled sadly at my close friend as I pulled her in for a hug, "I will miss you too. I don't know how long I will be gone but I will come back" I told her, I couldn't stay away for too long knowing how much I will miss my parents dreadfully.

"I will count the days" she whispered and pulled my close once more before she finally let me go and I walked up the busy steps of the train station. I cried again at the thought of the man I love but he was probably too busy with another woman.

It hasbeen three years and a few months since that day, I just got off the train, a man helping me with my things when I was suddenly wrapped in the arms of Beatrix who couldn't keep the grin off her face. "I'm so glad your back, it's not the same without you" she gushed not once letting me go.

"Darling if you hug her too much, there wont be any of her left" a man's voice chuckled, curiously I turned to look at the man only for my eyes to widen in shock. "William" I gasped and a smile made it's way onto my face as I saw him. "Hello Imogen" he grinned wrapping his arms around me, Beatrix finally let go as he spun me round and I couldn't help but laugh.

"It's so good to see you both" I told them honestly. "What are you doing here then?" I asked turning round to face William. William smiled sheepishly, "I couldn't just let my fiance come all this way on her own" he said and at first I frowned before a small smile made it's way onto my face. 

"Your getting married! I didn't even know you were together!" I shouted gaining the attention of other people as I pulled Beatrix in for another hug and looking down at her engagement ring.

Beautiful.

"When's the wedding?" I asked her still admiring her ring. "I didn't want to set a date back until I knew you were back and could be my maid of honor" Beatrix confessed making my eyes widen.

"I could of been gone longer!" I scold her but I wasn't really angry, I'm here now anyway.

"Well your here now" she said smiling, "Now let's get back everyone is excited to see you" she told me as we left William to bring my bags to the car.

Not everyone... 

I wonder if Samuel ever thought about me, looked for me but I doubt it.

I will soon find out, knowing I will see him sooner or later now that I am back home.

I smile at the thought to see my parents again, Home Sweet Home.

It's a little short but the chapters will get better and I will have to go through this chapter again soon anyway. I am hoping to update the accidental baby this weekend as well, hope you enjoy! :D
