In all of my 169 years in this world, I have never met a woman like her. Being around her is like being alive. I've forever walked amongst these humans and never have I felt a presence like hers. Ever since I met her I craved her, at first I had no idea how to handle it I thought maybe the thirst was overtaking me again but not this time, this time I knew for sure that it's much more I needed her but even more so I craved her. I had to hold it all inside when she was in my class that next day it was as if her scent was feeding the monster inside of me and like gravity was forcing me to her like she was a magnet and I was made of iron. Her name was like a breath of air when used " Alice Heartfilia". when I saw her dancing alone I couldn't help but go to her she was so majestic in the way she moved and her dancing was in perfect motion to the music that everything else disappeared around me but her. I never wanted that moment to end and I could feel that she didn't either. when our bodies became Insync with one another it was as if we were meant to be in this moment. I felt like I was dying all over again when she ran away from me, I had to make her stay but the reality of everything set in when her friend uttered those words " we have to go". I watched as she and her two friends push through the crowd and out the door.
I walked outside not wanting to be at this party anymore, the only reason I even agreed to attend is that I knew she would be here but now she is gone. I walked outside and went to my Hayabusa put on my helmet and revved the engine to life then took off. I loved the feeling of being on a motorcycle versus a car the way the wind felt as I sped and with my vampire reflexes everything flies right by me I don't ever have to worry about crashing so it's just speed of it all. Everything around me whooshed passed me as I was at full throttle everything came flooding to my mind taking over my subconscious. How it felt to have her that close to me her skin like silk on mine my hand on the small of her back the music how every time we touched even if it was the slightest my unbeating heart felt like it would stutter. I started to wish I wasn't this monster cursing the day I became a vampire, only because I knew that even if deep down I would never want to but I would harm her. I started to reminisce about that very day.
It was the summer of 1868 I had just turned 21 years of age my parents Ainsley and Lucilla Bryson, had already died of consumption. My only living relative was my uncle Benjamin Bryson. I was about to be engaged to a woman I didn't even love Clara Lancaster her father was well off and my marriage to her would've helped us. My family was never poor but my uncle was always a greedy man. My uncle went into town and I had awoken that morning getting ready to go over to Clara's to have tea with her and her parents to start courting phases, but instead I decided to walk down the trail from our mansion to visit my parents graves, but on the way I noticed a woman had fallen into the lake that was next to the trail to our family plot. I walked over to her and immediately helped her she was beautiful, her long flowing hair was as golden as the sun while it's setting, she had beautiful piercing emerald green eyes, gorgeous fair skin. She was drenched from head to toe but even that didn't take from her beauty.
Everything about her drew me in, I brought her to my home to get her cleaned up. She was very kind and sweet I handed her a blanket then went to leave the room so she could change into the clothes, I laid out for her, that was of my mother's, "wait" she said as she grabbed my arm, I turned around her green eyes barring into mine "would you please help me with my dress" she said with a honeyed voice as she turned around. I untied the back of her forest green corset dress she slid it down off of her body, I turned around trying not to look "would you like some tea Madame?" I asked as an excuse to leave " Layla" she said as a response her name was" Layla Katarina Paquette" and she then agreed to wanting tea, I left to get it then when I returned she was gone and she took everything with her.
I went to Clara's home in efforts to court her since we were to be wed soon and I thought about Layla the entire time wondering if she even existed at all. All throughout tea I couldn't get her off my mind, I went home that night deciding to walk, even though it was starting to get dark but I only lived a short while from Clara's I started through the woods and I heard someone behind me. Layla came out of the shadows she was all bloody, her hair was disastrous and her green dress was ripped and torn. I went to go to her but she yelled "stop" I stood there not understanding why she would refuse my help "but you're bleeding " I protested and she came to me I held her " I want to repay you for your kindness" she said as she pressed her lips to my neck, I felt a sharp pang at my throat but my mind was too foggy to care then she pulled back I saw the blood dripping from her face I didn't move, I didn't scream she bit her wrist then told me to drink I did as she asked without hesitation, then the next thing I remembered was waking up on the ground blood on the side of my neck, sunlight burning my eyes and a burning ache of thirst in my throat. I had spent a year figuring out what I was and had taken countless lives, I had found others like me over the years only to end up alone because of our challenging ideas on humanity. I looked for Layla only to find her dead with a stake to the heart.
