Our housemaid, Sarah, came in at her usual time, 7 am sharp, to start dusting.
This time, however, she knocked over my little Minnie Mouse snowglobe, shattering it, and waking me up.
"Sarah?" I ask groggily.
Furiously trying to clean up the broken glass, she hadn't realized that I had looked up.
"Sarah?" I ask her. Her head snaps up.
"Oh, um, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you! I, uh, kinda dropped this, but I'll replace it! I promise!" She finished in a rush.
"Sarah, it's not expensive, or special, so I'll be fine without it. You can have today off, even," I say.
She shakes her head. "You're very funny, Miss Ryan. I can't take a whole day off just like that!"
I smirk at her. "You can and you will. Go."
She smiles. "Okay." She bends down and continues to pick up the glass.
"Um, Sarah? Whatcha doin'?" I ask.
"Cleaning."
I push back my covers. "Oh, I got that," I say.
I'm on the first rung of my ladder when she screams, "No!"
Just then, I hear a crack, and the rung breaks, sending me crashing to the floor, right into the pile of glass.
So this is the shortest chapter I've done and I'm not proud of it. I'm sorry for not posting, but I lost inspiration, and then I have book reports and I have to read 4 books. Ugh. But, as soon as they are finished I will be posting regularly. I will post monthly, during the end of the month. So don't worry, I will be an actual writer!! Thank you all for reading, I love you guys!
