Lucas's POV

I walked into the changing room right behind her and hugged maya from behind.
"Had a nice sprint babe?" I whispered softly in her ear
She turned around, frowning deeply
"Lucas..." she smiled nervously before walking away, she hardly acts like that, I shrugged.
"Maya, what's it?" I asked
"Nothing." She mumbled
"Maya?" I said again tugging on her sleeve
"Just leave me alone for a while Lucas." She said
"But why?"
"I want some me time Lucas, go. I am going shopping with riles." She shrugged
"But you went shopping yesterday." I said now realising she is hiding something
"Yeah so I'll go again." Maya said cheekily and she splashed water on her face
"But she is on a date with Farkle." I said again
"Please go." She whispered
"Maya what are you hiding?" I said anger taking over myself
That moment Farkle walked in, he stared at the two of us
"I am hiding nothing." Maya snapped
"Tell me!" I said through gritted teeth grabbing  hold of her wrist
"GO AWAY." Maya yelled back
"DO YOU NOT TRUST ME?!" I screamed, a tear rolled down her eyes
"I WANT TO BE ALONE!" She replied snarling and screaming
I was so fed up, I walked towards her grabbing her hands, she glanced around then tugged away and ran, she ran from me. From me?
I stared after her.
"Lucas." Farkle's voice whispered
"What?" I snapped
"She is not hiding something." Farkle sighed, my eyes darted towards him
"What do you mean?" I asked
"This happened with me and Riley too, she is being bullied." Farkle said.
Anger boiled in me, my head felt exploding. My hands started shaking my lip quavered
"Don't be angry for maya, go after her." Farkle soothed
A large tear dropped from my eye, I turned and ran to her house, I climbed the fire escape and into her room, she was in the corner shivering and crying.
"WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME?" I yelled, her eyes snapped up and they were full of tears, I walked close to her and she scooted away, eyes glassy with tears and fear swimming in them as she scouted and crawled away from me, my eyes now full of tears widened as I realised she was scared of me. Her petite body was pressed to the wall her knees clenched to her chest
"How long?" I whispered, taking steps back, she stared at me
"Say." I commanded, she whimpered loudly, I scared her again.
"Maya please tell me." I whispered taking a step ahead, she crawled away
"I am your boyfriend maya, sweetheart, tell me." I whispered, I knew my eyes show defeat. Maya is scared of me, she is scared of me....her boyfriend.
She stared at me then nodded, she stepped forward then took her shirt of, my eyes gave up all the tears at the sight, her entire stomach was covered with belt marks, the beautiful milky white stomach covered with belt marks
"I will murder them." I whispered through gritted teeth, she shook her head and like a child she extended both her arms, I wasted not time in swiftly moving towards her and hugging her, she clenched my body, then she cried and sobbed on my chest as I stroked her hair and kissed her repeatedly on her ear and forehead.
"What'd they say?" I whispered
"Don't want to talk about it." She whispered
I nodded.
"It's okay, I am here." I whispered hugging her.
Minutes later her sobs slowly seized.
My face was covered with tears, my Maya totally broken in my arms as her body slowly stopped shaking.
"You want to rest?" I asked
She nodded, her hands still clenched my body tightly (imagine it)
I slowly supported her butt and picked her up walking to the bed I lay her down, and immediately she curled into a ball not leaving my shirt's collar yet.
"You want me here?" I asked a little hopeful she's not scared any more
She nodded, relief washed my insides.
I climbed into the bed and covered her bare back except for the bra with the blankets, she put her arms over my chest and rested her head on my shoulder as she slept lightly.
