I scooped some of the flour out, throwing it into the chute. Two eggs, butter and some sugar. I took out a vial from the pocket of my jacket. It was clear, found it from a pharmacist who didn't work as one.

It didn't smell of anything. The liquid slithered down the side of the vial, a lethal poison encapsulated in a single drop. One was enough, but my hand was trembling too much to count.

The ingredients churned as the machine's gentle hum filled the room.

My fingers clasped around the empty vial. The wall was emptier than I thought. No dents, no stuck out edges or even a scratch. It was a wall, like all the others in the house. Smooth, white, bare.

Ding

I lifted the top off the machine as a wisp of smoke escaped, carrying the scent of an ever normal chocolate cake.

Everything was. Very normal.

I slid open the glass door, treat in hand.

"Oh, chocolate?" He raised his eyebrows inquiringly, "I'd be very impressed if you messed this up."

I punched him lightly, placing down the bowl. He pushed the bowl towards me, "Want some?" I shook my head.

My teeth clamped down, as the metal spoon dug into the chocolate mud, burying itself inside before delivering the first of his series of last bites towards those blindingly white teeth and onto the wave of taste buds.
