Olivia felt something shift under her and for a moment she was startled. The sun was up and she had a naked body underneath her. She realized it was Elliot and the previous night's events came rushing back to her. He still had his arms protectively wrapped around her. She watched him as he breathed softly, quietly. She shifted a bit and she swore she heard him moan."Elliot," she whispered.
She felt him harden, still buried deep inside her from last night. "I know he's not having a wet dream," she whispered quietly to herself. She felt him thrust slightly. "Oh, ffff-," she moaned starting to feel herself become aroused. She began to move her hips and ground herself against him in response. "No, no, no," she mumbled to herself.
"Elliot," she called again, but this time a little louder.
"Shhh, Liv, let's just-"
"No, wake up, big boy." She patted his chest with her hand and slowly detached herself from him. They couldn't do that again. They needed to talk first. "It's seven in the morning and we need to talk."
Elliot sat up wiping the sleep from his eyes. He and Olivia looked down at his raging hard on. "But look what you left me with," he whined.
"You left me for four years, Elliot. I'm sure you can figure out a way to calm down." Her words stung and she knew it. She tossed him his sweatpants and she went to the living room, slipping on a pair of underwear she'd hidden in her pocket and one of Elliot's T-shirt's that he left lying around.
He followed her not too long after and make a pot of coffee. An awkward silence fell amongst them. Neither could seem to come up with the right words.
Elliot sat down in front of her and slid a cup of coffee to her. Strong and black just like she liked it.
Olivia took two gulps without thinking twice.
"It's nice to see some things never change," he smiled in attempt to lighten the mood. Olivia didn't take the bait.
"Elliot, you have a lot of explaining to do," she said. "I can't even fathom why I walked in here and had sex with you last night. I hate you because I've been so angry with you, yet here I am, crawling back to your bed like some whore."
"Liv, don't say that."
"No, it's true, Elliot! You left that night after we had sex and I haven't seen you since. Now here I am in the same exact situation. Gotta one way ticket to Neverland stashed around here that I should know about, hmm? You have a nice track record of leaving after sex."
"Okay, Olivia. Enough. I get that you're angry, but can you just let me explain?" He was trying to control his anger. Her snide comments were getting the best of him, especially since she didn't know what she was talking about. Olivia saw the anger beginning to build and she thought it best to back down before it was too late. She nodded her head begrudgingly.
"Liv, if you think I wanted to leave you, you're crazy. It wasn't like that at all."
"So tell me."
"After we made love, that was the best night of my life. I'd never felt anything like it." He took a sip of his coffee. "I was so scared because that feeling was foreign to me. Anyway the night I told you I loved you, I meant it. I went home to tell Kathy that-that it was over... But-but I found her crying in the bathtub. The water was full of blood. She uh... she'd had a miscarriage."
Olivia was stunned. There Elliot was having sex and confessing his love to another woman and his wife was going through some of the worst pain of her life. Olivia knew that feeling all too well. She cleared her throat and shifted in her seat.
