Oune we got out of school we treys to get to my place witch was only two miles from school, but it tule tree hours to get their because we had to take short cuts and the long way to get their trying to ovoid zombies or panicking crazy people. When we got their to my place siting on the front porch with his Mossberg 500 and Glock 18. We ran for him and he got up and started to run for us then suddenly stop. I gave him a confused look a, then he raised his Mossberg. I turned around to see five zombies behind me. I yelled "HIT THE DIRT" We fell and my dad started to fire. We crawled tell my dad reloaded, then we ran, but I heard someone yelling "Help Me!". I turns around to see Justin stile under a zombie. I ran back to help him. More zombies were closing in so I had to do it fast. I got to Justin and started to pull on him, but it was no good because it was a fat zombie. We were toast.
Zombies were close to touching us. I thought we were screwed when I saw a zombie fall and my neighbor Mr.Douglas was there with a crow bar and said "Move!" So I did and he put the crow bar under the zombie and started to push down when he got bitten. He was still able to free Justin,but he couldn't save himself. He threw the crow bar to me and said "RUN!" So I did watching him getting his guts ripped out and watching him suffer tell we was limp and lifeless.
I ran to my dad with Justin at my side as we was shooting at the zombies. We all ran inside and when we got inside my dad closed and locked the door and slid the piano that mom used to play in front of the door. I ran up stars to my room to find it the way I left it, messy. I looked outside my blinds to see madness and panic. I saw zombies going after people, people running around killing zombies, people going crazy, and about fifty yards away I could see the zombies finishing up Mr.Douglas how sacrificed his life to save Justin and I. I shout my blinds and ran down stairs yelling "Dad!" He came to me saying "What is it?" I said " What are we going to do?" I was starting to cry with the tears washing away the dirt from my face. He said " we are going to survive Carter. All of us."
I looked at Justin and Martin. Justin is in shock for having a near death experience, but we never cries, but on the other hand Martin was was still crying loud and hard. "I got to get home to my folks to see if their alright." Martin said, still crying. "I don't care if I go back home. I'm tired of living with a drunk dad who is always on some kind of drug like coke, and a slut mom who is probably in bed with a zombie. I don't care about my parents." Justin said angrily. My dad went to them. He said "Martin, your parents are dead, I'm sorry. Justin your parents are dead to but you don't care."
"How long can we last?" I asked my dad and he said "We can last a while. I have enough supplies to last about two months." I looked over at Justin and Martin. They looked so helpless and unable to survive, so I said to my dad "They need to learn how to shot hand hunt." THey looked at me like I was crazy. Justin a happy and exited crazy, but Martin had that no way im doing that look. My dad said "Ok. We will go tomorrow and teach all of you how to shoot, hunt, find food, make snairs, and most importantly, survive." My dad got out his hand cranked raideo and turned on the news. I went to Justin and Martin and said "Everything is going to be alright. My dad is really good at hunting and surviving." My dad came back in with the radio and it was saying..........
" Everybody living in Raleigh North Carolina needs to stay indoors at all cost. Their is a virus going around turning people mad and crazy and they eat other humans. If you come in to contact with the people with the virus run away or destroy the brain. We know that the virus can be transferred by coming in to contact with the infected. If you have killed one of the infected, burn the body to kill the virus. That is all for now, we will try to keep you updated. Good luck and may god be with you."
" Their is no help coming." My dad said " What do you mean?" I asked "It means it's just us and who ever is out their. The military is not coming to contain tis thing at all. We are on our own." He said.
