Monster (Eddsworld TomEdd AU)

Awkward.

Tom slunk down the creaky stairs and walked into the living room, to see his two best friends, their eyes glued to the television screen. Tom sighed playfully and shook his head. Typical Matt and Edd.

Suddenly, an cunning idea popped into Toms head, and a large, evil grin covered his face.

He carefully crept over behind the sofa, until he was facing the back of the brunette. He hovered his hands over the cola lover, and quickly shot them onto his arm.

"BOO!"

Edd shot out of his seat and jumped in the air, and onto the floor, yelping in surprise. His eyes were wide for several seconds, before he burst into laughter. Matt also jumped.

Tom snorted and leant on the sofa to sustain his balance, as loud laughter was heard from his mouth.

Edd giggled and eventually got himself up and back onto the sofa.
"You are so dead!" He glared playfully, staring at Toms sockets.

Tom grinned back and stuck his tongue out, before quickly speeding away.

Edd shot out of his seat and bolted towards his sandy haired friend, proceeding to chase him throughout the first floor of the household.

"Get back here!" Edd shrieked, whilst chasing the Jehova around the table.

"Nope," He teased playfully, "You gotta catch me~"

The green hoodied male let out a playful growl, and sped towards Tom, before speedily leaping onto him.

Tom shouted and giggled as he fell onto the floor, his friend above him straddling him.

Happy laughter emitted from the two as they sat in the awkward position, not even realising it yet.

Edd wiped a tear off the corner of his eye with his index finger, and looked down at Tom, a cheesy smile still on his face.

Tom grinned looking back up at his brown haired buddy, only to realise how they were sitting.

His sockets widened, turning white in colour. He felt his face heating up, and a dark blush dusting his face. He shoved Edd off quickly and rushed back upstairs, before proceeding to lock himself in his room.

"T-Tom?" Edd asked, clearly confused and hurt,  as his best friend literally threw him onto the ground. "What just happened...?" He thought, clearly concerned for the dusty haired male.

He got up, holding onto the back of his head. The pain was throbbing and his head wouldn't stop pounding.

He groaned and walked over the the fridge to grab a can of cola, hoping to cheer himself up.  He snatched a can of the icy refreshment and walked back into the living room, still perplexed at the situation. He replayed the scene over and over in his head, trying to find something that he did wrong.

The switch finally clicked, and his eyes bulged wide. He rolled his cold beverage out of his hand in utter shock. A deep feeling of embarrassment flooded through his body, and he felt his face heating up.

"D-Did i just sit on his lap?!" He shrieked, but only inside his head. "Why they hell did I do that?!"

He immediately felt awful, and sick to his stomach. His face slowly turned from a beat red into a pale sickly colour. He gripped onto his stomach tightly, squeezing his folded arms into it and bit his lip. "I think I'm gonna be sick..."

Tom collapsed onto the bed, burying his face into his pillow, still a dark crimson.

"Why am I so flustered?! Why do I care so much?! We were just fucking about! Jesus Tom stop overreacting! You fucking shoved him and everything for nothing!"

Thoughts flooded through the alcoholics mind, trying to shake them out. He let out a loud muffled growl into his pillow, and flipped over, now facing the ceiling.

"I should probably apologise..." He pondered, staring at the old, dusty blue paint surrounding him.
He glanced over the the door, still questioning his thoughts. He sighed and quickly got up.
He stretched and rubbed his black sockets, before sauntering back downstairs. 

He peered over the doorframe, peeking to see if Edd was in the living room.
He spotted several tufts of the chocolate coloured strands leaking out from the left of the sofa. He crept over quietly to his coca cola loving friend.

He walked around to the face of the sofa,  to see Edd lying down, a hand gripping an ice pack on the back of his head, and the other under the blanket covering him, morelikely wrapped around his stomach, as seen by the creases. He had a sickly, pale looking face. He tiredly looked up to see who it was, before his eyes widening slightly.

Tom stuttered, unable to speak. Did he really do this to him? He immediately felt dread rush through him.

"H-Hey Tom..." The brunette croaked out, and smiled weakly.

He slowly lifted himself up slightly, making room for Tom and flinched.

"E-Edd don't really!-" Tom blurted out, sadly too late.

The sandy haired man let out a sad sigh, and carefully took a seat beside his sickly friend.

There were a few moments of silence, before Tom decided to chirp up.

"H-Hey...Edd?" Tom mumbled while glancing away and biting his lip.

"Yes Tom?" Edd asked,  diverting his attention towards the clearly nervous male.

"I-I-  I just wanted to let you know...I'm really sorry for what happened back there. I didn't mean to hurt you this bad. I'm really sorry..." Tom spoke, his words quavering occasionally.

Edds mocha coloured eyes softened.

"Hey...it's okay, I forgive you Tom," He
smiled gently.

Edd glanced around quickly, before leaning across the sofa and wrapping his arms around Tom.

His sockets whitened, surprised at the contact. A light blush appeared on his face as he leaned back into Edd.
Edd nuzzled his face into Toms neck and cuddled the Jehova happily.

He tried to reposition himself to be more comfortable, only to squeak in surprise and go beat red, when he was pulled onto Toms lap, and buried into his hoodie.

He hid his blushing face in Toms neck, as he gently cradled the cola boy, before soft snoring could be heard from him.

Tom chuckled quietly and lay down on the sofa, pulling Edd onto him. He glanced over at his friends face admiring his looks.

Tom thought he...almost looked cute? He shook the thought out of his head as he cuddled his dark haired buddy, before slowly drifting off to sleep.
