The mood, it changes like the wind. - The naked and famous (Young Blood)
-Asher-
I knew that Juliet was a nerd, but there is something about her. I don't know how to explain it, but it seemed like being a nerd is just a cover up.
I wanted to know why she was hiding the bad ass side of her. I want to know what is happening in that pretty little head of hers. What the hell is wrong with me? I'm the bad boy and she is the nerd next door.
I looked out the kitchen window one last time and I saw that she was not about to get up and come over, that's my job I guess.
Reluctantly I shrugged on my black leather jacket, grabbed my motorcycle keys and made sure I had my phone.
I made my way next door am knocked twice and stepped back. I pulled my phone to pretend to be busy when in reality I was texting my mom.
I was three words away from sending the message when Juliet answered the door. She was in the same outfit from school but she had flats on instead of heels. And I could tell why. She had lines all over her feet from them.
I know what your thinking. No I don't have a foot fetish I was already looking down at my phone when she opened the door. And I looked at her toe to head instead of the other way around.
Once I made it to her face I had already learned a few things.
1. She has a good body.
2. She has a really great body.
3. She is not hot or sexy but I would call her beautiful, if I actually cared.
"Hi, what is it that you wanted to talk about?" She asked bluntly.
"Whoa, hi to you as well. I just wanted to ask you a few questions. Walk with me?" Without waiting for her to respond I grabbed her hand a dragged her out of the house. She was still holding the handle so the door closed.
"Where the hell are we going?" She asked once we stopped in front of my bike.
I threw her the helmet and said "It's a surprise. Now get on."
She didn't complain or argue. It was like she already knew how to ride it. She shoved the helmet on her head and straddled the bike as she wrapped her arms around my waist. I ignored the warmth that spread through me.
I sped off down the road for about 20 minutes and stopped at a place called 59 Diner. I parked the bike and helped her off and lead her into the building. You know what's funny. She's the first girl so far that I have let ride my bike. I wonder what came over me.
We sat across each other in a booth as a 20 year old waitress with the name of Sarah came and asked for our drinks.
"Vanilla coke." Juliet stated and looked at me raising a eyebrow.
"Water with lemon." With that the girl was off. But not without giving me a secret wink.
"Now that we are here, what do you want to know? Cause if it's retarded I'm gonna be pissed." Damn I have never had a girl be this straight forward with me unless it involved calling me names.
"Damn tiger, calm the hell down. I just wanted to know why you are hiding your bad ass self from everyone."
I swear to all things holy her chin hit the table.
"What makes you think that? I'm just a nerd that won't let herself be made fun of, by always having a attitude." She rushed it out fast so it was obvious that she was lying along with the fact the her eyes moved back and forth.
