Make us feel sorry for a villain, by retelling a story that we already know.
Time: eight minutes.

The world would be a better place soon.

He had put all of his life into this. His entire existence was only to see this plan through. To see his people to their rightful place in the world.

No longer would his people be shunned, be hunted or killed or cast aside. This was everything. This would finally be the day that the world could be put right. The wrld wuld embrace sorcerers, and they could walk the streets without fear of persecution. This would be the day that the world become golden.

He could practically see it already. His people laughing, smiling. The Children of the Spider on O'Connell Street, citizens of Roar haven basking in the sun in the islands off Spain. There would be magic in every city, every town and village.

Like it thrummed through his veins, so it would flow through the world. Undiluted and free - free as a bird and twice as happy.

The world would be righted - and maybe, just maybe, he would be able to smile again. Maybe his friends would forgive him for what he has done, and maybe he could mourn those that he had lost. He could put flowers on their graves and weep in their names.

Maybe, when the world was fixed and he slipped from the public eye, maybe then he could just simply be.
