Lisa's Point of View
The next day was Saturday, so I got up around 10 am and made myself a bowl of cereal. Today was Cartoon Day for me, so after my bowl of cereal was properly concocted, I went to the living room and jumped on the couch, picking up the remote and turning the tv on the Cartoon Network. I sat and watched the Regular Show for two hours before I remembered what I had to do today. I had plans to meet Mr. Ma- Zayn, at that little cafe right outside of London at 3 o'clock.
I was never fussy about fashion or clothing. Heck, I barely wore makeup for Christ's sake! I decided on the regular old washed jeans and I decided instead of a grey hoodie today, that I would where a red one with some black converse. I applied a bit of mascara and some chapstick, and not knowing what to do with my hair, I just put it up in a messy bun and I was out the door. Since we only had one car and my mom was at work, I had to take the bus. I walked to the bus stop and waited for the bus that would take me to the outskirts of London. It only took about 15 minutes before it arrived and I stepped onto the bus, flashing my annual pass at the bus driver before finding a seat at the back. I watched as London whizzed past the window, or rather, we whizzed past it. It was truly beautiful with its tall buildings and endless amounts or red phone booths and lifelike monuments but one can even get tired of London of all places, and I was one of those people. I wanted to see the countryside again, the endless rolling hills and the occasional river or two.
After about an hour I made it to the bus stop I wanted to get off at and I made my way to the little cafe that Zayn asked me to meet him at.
I looked through the window just before I walked through the door and I saw Zayn sipping on some coffee and enjoying a pastry. I didn't know exactly what to do, so I just went up to him and tapped him on the shoulder. Unfortunately, he had just been taking another sip of his coffee, so when my finger made contact with his shoulder, he almost jumped out of his seat and spit out his coffee all over the table and himself. I saw his face turn from suprised to angry and he turned his head to look at me. I involuntarily put my hand in front of my face to protect myself but when he say it was only me his face softened.
"Oh Lisa!," He exclaimed, clearly startled,"I didn't know it was you." He said, a small smile spreading across his lips. I slowly brought hand down from my face and looked at him. There was no anger left in his eyes. I was replaced by the pure joy that his mouth portrayed but you can never tell if someone is happy just by looking at the curve of their mouth, that's why I was unsure at first.
"Here, why don't you sit down." He said gesturing to the chair opposite himself. I sat down and he started to wave down a waiter and then he turned to me.
"What would you like? Coffee, tea? Pastry?" He asked politely but I just shook my head. he waved away the waiter and let his hand rest on the table.
"You don't talk much do you?" He said and as a tribute to his observation I just shook my head again.
"You know, I was actually pretty suprised that you agreed to come today. I thought that you would be out with your friends or something." He confessed. I cocked my head to the side and looked at him for a minute. Didn't he know that I didn't have a friends?
I righted my head and spoke softly but clearly, "I don't have any friends."
Now it was his turn to cock his head to the side and look at me for a minute. " What do you mean you don't have any friends?" He asked, his head still to the side.
"I just don't have any. No one ever offered." I answered.
"Have you ever tried making friends?" He asked.
"No." I answered simply, "I guess I'm just too shy."
"There's no reason to be shy. I know teenagers aren't the most caring species on the planet," He chuckled at this, "but they're not as bad as you think they are." As he finished his little speech, he grabbed my left hand which I had set on the table. I flinched at his sudden move and started to pull my hand back but he wouldn't let go so I just let him hold it there.
"I could be you're friend, if you want." He offered. I didn't know what to say so I didn't say anything. I just nodded my head and he smiled back like I had just made his day.

"Bye Zayn!" I said waving to him from my doorstep. He had taken me home after talking forever at the little cafe. We had decided we both weren't ready to call it a relationship yet, but we both hoped it would turn into one. We also had to take into account that he was my teacher and that he could get in serious trouble for doing this but we were both willing to take the risk. I was really and truly happy for once, and it felt really good. That happiness was gone as soon as I stepped in my house though. My mother was sitting on the couch, glaring at me accusingly.
"Lisa, I'm going to ask you a very simple question and I would like you to answer that question as truthfully as possible," She instructed," Was that a boy that just dropped you off?" She interrogated.
"Nnn-no!" I lied.
"Hhm. Well, I'll let it slide today but if you're ever out this late ever again, I will ground you for a month. Understand?" She declared firmly.
"Y-yes mum." I answered before walking up the stairs and into my room. I locked it and fell onto my bed, exhausted. Zayn may have been putting his career on the line for us, but I was pretty sure I was putting my sanity on it, if not my life.
