Chapter 4

James wanted to marry me. I wanted to just kiss him and say yes but then reality hit me. I'm still in school, I live at home, and I was terrified, I had never been in such a serious relationship. Or an overall healthy relationship. I didn't know what to say, We sat there for a while in silence.

"Give me an answer when I get out of the shower." He said breaking the silence, he got up and his phone began to ring. He went upstairs and when I heard the water running I turned on the TV.

JAMES POV

"Hello" I said in a strong voice, that was almost unfamiliar to me.

"Son, you need to decide. You become Alpha in 2 weeks time." I heard my father's voice come over the phone.

"I already did. I asked her to marry me. If she says yes, or wants to after we graduate then I know she's ready and I will bring her. If she says no, she will need more time." I answered back.

"You have made a wise decision my son. I wish you both the best of luck." He said as he hung up. After I showered I went downstairs and saw that Bella had sat up candles and laid blankets on the floor. And I knew what she had planned, I could hear her heart racing, and her finger fidgeting, worried that I would deny. But, I went along with her.

"You could have yelled at me if you needed something Bella." I said as I walked towards her.

"I know but I wanted to surprise you." She said looking up at me.

"What is all of this?" I asked her getting on my knees and grabbing her hands.

"I thought about your question. And I would love to become your wife with all my heart right after we graduate. But, I want to do something before that." She said playing with my hands.

"What's that?" I asked her, already knowing. And my wolf was jumping around on the inside.

"This." She said as she grabbed her hands and rubbed my neck up to my chin pulling my face in, for a deep passionate kiss. She raised her body some allowing me to get my hands around her waist. I picked her up and laid her on her back on the floor. We kissed forever then she tugged my shirt to pull it off.

The next 2 weeks went by fast and then we came to the day that Bella was returning to school. She was excited of course but scared. She only had about 4 weeks of senior year left. But, she wasn't embarrassed at all to be walking around with an engagement ring. She actually was happy too. We pulled up to her school and when she got out of he car she grabbed my hand and squeezed it. I knew something was off today but I was trying to figure it out. Since we had sex I was always able to tell how she was feeling it was a part of mating. But, now something was blocking it. When we arrived in the school I walked her to her first class but then I saw my dad at the end of the hallway with the principal and I knew something was wrong. I let her go in and I ran down the hallway to him.

"Dad what's wrong??" I said full of concern.

"Son, it's Bella." He said with a worried look in his eyes.

BELLA'S POV

James had to go to the principals office so I went into class by myself but it was okay, Jes was already in there and she saved me a seat. I sat down, I had felt quezy all day.

"You okay Bella? You don't look so good." Jes said as she sat her hand on my back. And at that second I felt my insides burning. I jumped up and ran to the bathroom down the hall.

JAMES' POV

I looked up when I saw Bella run across the hall to the bathroom. I saw Jes running behind her. I then realized I was already at the restroom. I opened the door and I heard crying. I ran over to one of the stalls and saw Jes holding Bella's hair back.
