(Y/N's POV)

Cat people have roamed this earth for decades or in another case our well known, Nekos. Their curiosity grew each day and every inch of exploration was one of interest. The cat people fed off the adventurous aroma and developed the senses to devour intriguing new experiences within each step they took.

Each Neko had its own personality and every individual had its own unique markings and fur patterns to indicate the meaning of their life. Our kind could last for billions of years and were talented in many ways due to our feral instincts and careful attitude towards the planet.

My name is (Y/N) (M/N) (L/N) and I'm currently (Y/A) old; yes Nekos do live a very long time and age extremely slowly. I love my parents and brother/sister, (Y/S/N) with all of my heart. Our families bond is very close, probably because we're Nekos and are always seeking safety in our small groups to comfort one another. You may be thinking that cats are individuals, well I'm not just a cat, I'm part human too and we have our reasons to always be aware which you'll certainly hear about later.

It may seem fun to be half feline, but trust me it has its cons and is not all that easy. Many years ago we were discriminated and slaughtered for being 'dangerous' creatures...however, really mankind were the true monsters and feasted on our fear as well as savouring torturing our shivering bodies. To be honest I'm still not sure if they've changed at all because the disaster that was held one hundred and fifty years ago seems to make me feel as if mankind have no empathy whatsoever.

*Flashback*

(Y/N) (L/N) had (H/L) (H/C) hair and (T/O/P). Her mother and father realised after giving birth to her that the markings resembled her as the beholder of beauty and the one to finally bring peace between Nekos and Mankind; this therefore was her burden.

These furry felines were once the civilians of this land and shadowed the earth as their treasure chests; everything living was precious to them so they cherished nature with a deep passion. However, as the years flew by, our surroundings were engulfed in decay and all the nurturing and beautiful scenery that was once flooded with purity was now blanketed in barren wastelands. Our race fled in hope to seek water supplies and fresh land, although... many didn't return. Our kind soon perished as the human race took over the kingdom- one by one bodies staggered to the ground in agony as weapons and sharp objects punctured into our fragile skin...it was as if they wanted us gone. In our hopeless states, we'd stumble to our aching knees and hiss at the towering figure above us as a cunning yet mischievous glint would play in their rose-red eyes. Needle-like daggers plummeted before us as arrows soared like an eagle throughout the thick shrivelled grass that we were cowering upon.

Sadly our deaths were no accident. Purposely humans would slaughter us for our magical, elegant fur. Our markings were so precious and priceless that that the greed of mankind just grew stronger and more powerful each day; ears would be torn off us and stitched or glued onto trophy frames as a sign of achievement and wealth as our tails would but wrapped around them like a ribbon.

Many siblings and family members died within this battle for life. Nearly the whole Neko population in fact, was wiped out in three months time after the humans had invaded our tranquil territory. However, my family managed to survive, so we've been lurking in the darkest corners of the world ever since that despicable disaster. Although, it was just recently that we decided to emerge from our surroundings and try to find shelter in a town nearby in the one and only- South Park Colorado.
