Becca💜: ❤️❤️
"If you could change these classes that would be great." I said to the office lady in the most polite voice I could manage.
"Of course!" she replied. Jesus she's super fake.
I scanned the office to see if I knew anyone I could talk to for now, the only person I saw that was a student was a girl with curly blonde hair near me. Skye, I think her name is. Yeah Skye, that sounds right. I don't know if I should even go talk to her... ah fuck it, she's cute. *walks up to her*
"Hey, Skye right?"
"Yeah that's me." she said.
"Do you know where this class is? *pointing to paper on schedule*" I said to her shyly.
I panicked.
"Yeah, it's near Mrs. Johnson's room, by the bathroom then there is Mr. Keller."
"Got it, thanks."
The office lady gave me a weird look. "Aren't you related to him?"
"Uncle. We have the same last name because he's never married." I tried to say politely.
"Ah right." She said to me with a dirty look.
Mr. Keller wasn't the most favored teacher because he spoke his mind and told the truth, people hated him for it. But I loved him for it, he's better than my fricking father.
"Autumn Keller? There is a print ready for you."
"That'd be me. Thanks." I said with a smile.
"Yep." She was actually nice.
I grabbed my skateboard and put it on the tile in the commons. I skated as fast as I could, didn't want to keep Becca waiting, she'd probably get mad. I almost slammed into Leo, he was walking around with Charlie and his other friends. I waved at Charlie meanwhile Leo was laughing his ass off in the distance after he had yelled something like "Aye! Lemme get on with you!"
"Like that's anyway to pick up ladies douchebag!" Flynn replied, laughing as well. I smiled. It's been awhile since I talked to those guys. Maybe I'll try tomorrow. I pulled up to the skate park passing this old house with this one bitchy old lady. She always calls me a "dirty skank" because one time I knocked over her garden gnome that was practically in the sidewalk, I mean come on. Even when she's asleep or not on her porch yelling at kids it's a tradition to give her and her house the bird. I finally got to the bridge and saw Mia and Mariana, I hadn't seen them most of the summer. Mari looked the same, maybe her hair has changed. She got more tan though, she's normally as pale as can be, but she got spoiled and got to go to hawaii. Still looked like a doll. Mia definitely changed though. Her hair always changes. She used to be ginger and now it's pink.
"Hi!" I say to get their attention.
They all look over frightened, then realize it's just me. I see a joint in Becca's mouth. I now know why they were scared.
"Yo lemme hit that!" I said to them, I didn't even know they had weed. Thank god they did though, it's been such a rough summer. My dad is an ass, my mom is more of an ass, and my cat died, I didn't even have weed most of the summer. Not fun. I walk over and a girl in a yellow dress with really long hair and brown shoes with white lacey socks on caught my eye. She was really cute but seemed shy and quiet, not my type, but she was cute. I made a gesture towards Mia, making out the words "who is she?" with my lips while tiling my head towards the girl that had caught my eye previously.
"Her names Luna. New friend, she's chill." she said whispered quickly and quietly. I sat down near the water on a rock, and eventually my butt fell asleep and went all numb. If only the rocks were cushioned. We passed the joint around and Mari talked about her new love interest. It was one of my childhood friends, Shawn, he used to live on my street and we would ride bikes together.
"He's so great! He treats me great and he's just great." Mari said.
"Take a hit each time she says great." Mia said to me while laughing. I smiled at her and continued to listen to Mari's tangent. I feel like she always has someone to be with, girl or guy. And I've known her since 7th grade. I'm just stuck here unable to have any relationship with anyone I actually like because of my homophobic parents and everyone else being straight. What's so great about guys anyways? I don't get it. I guess I never will. We left from the train tracks and went to the old Elementary School for a while. We swung on the swings until our legs couldn't move anymore. It was amazing, but all our legs could do was wobble. I walked back home when the sun was setting and walked with Luna because our houses were close, she lived up on a hill and had lots of fields and forest space, apparently the house was in her family for years but for a long time she had to live with her junkie parents until she moved back with her grandma who got it from her grandparents after her grandma's grandpa died. She had so many stories to tell, it took a lot of talking to her to get her to tell them. She told me her crazy stories and I told her mine. She was starting to actually be a very good friend, it's safe to say I enjoyed every second of her company. I got home and plopped on my bed, avoiding my moms obnoxious yelling for arriving "way too late," when I was on time. That's the kind of thing that happens. I locked the door and slept like a baby.
